Here is my baby, the laptop experience I had for the past week is as superb, throwing more money into it definitely worth it  brows.gif

Also brought a laptop case from Lazada, feels safer throwing the thinkpad into my EDC smile.gif

Guys, any recommendation for a copywriter from Lenovo Thinkpad Series? Priority goes by keyboard typing experience ,light weight and long battery hours. Been eyeing on X1 Carbon instead of Dell XPS 13(heard of many QC inconsistency).

Pricing depends..

Even though I already have a gaming rig but still there is something about typing on a laptop that the desktop couldn't provide if you know what I mean..
*
Dell XPS more on gaming and entertainment laptop.
Keyboard not as nice as Thinkpads.

ThinkPad more on works and business laptop.
Very durable among, bottom panel easier to access for IT to repair.

XPS I heard they had overheating issue.
Maybe the latest models already solved

T480 would have longest battery time if compare between thinkpad series,
Alternative option will be Dell latitude 7490, the panel alone have different spec to chooses
*
Dell latitude 7490 offer FHD only right?
1.4kg , look like ThinkPad T480s is better tongue.gif

His priority would not need wqhd panel right?
X1 carbon battery life just so so only. Not impressive if compare with t480. Latitude 7490

If he want lighter weight, 7390 latitude

Anyway, those model I show were alternative, surely can't compare with x1 carbon which starting price was highest among
*
Wow so many panels for selection.
But still prefer WQHD panel more attractive to view from photos when editing smile.gif

Maybe one of the reason , I choosed an over X1 Carbon HDR screen.

Thinkpad T480 indeed does provide longest battery life based on the fact that it has 2 slots for battery. However I have to also consider the weight that comes with it.

WQHD is not my priority because to further save more battery hours and not planning to do crazy photo editing.  X1 Carbon feels a tad premium with it costing roughly RM 1,500 more with similar config to a T480/T480S.

As for Dell Latitude 7490, I'm not sure about the keyboard experience so can't comment on that. Perhaps have to conduct more research on my side.

Actually no issue for Singapore LTE.
4G LTE Frequency Bands Covered by Mobile Operators:

M1: 1,800MHz & 2,600MHz
SingTel: 1,800MHz & 2,600MHz
StarHub: 1,800MHz

Just don't understand why MY use more bandwidth and frequency

3rd gen Yoga no longer build with carbon and no TPM.
What's global means?

L380 cover with aluminium
Bottom with GFRP, sound like Carbon fiber mixed.
No wonder slightly heavy than other model.
