The x1c7 sound and Dolby atmos definitely better. Last year was going to buy the 6th Gen but notice the speakers very soft even on max volume

This new x1 carbon only set to like 30% already quite loud and very impressive surround sound like

Anyways, Lenovo support told me my order got pushed up from 30th Aug to 26th Aug, but its not updated on the ovp yet. Hopefully no import license issue on mine... Waited long enough and my class is already starting next week.

Import license apply for everyone... you can’t avoid it.
Now my set also faces with import license and hold in Sepang for my X395.

P1 2gen battery life not as good and heavy to compare with X1 Carbon 7th gen.
I think just can last 4 hours max. Maybe mine is 4k display and Quadro T2000 GPU.

Alternative option for you guys to decide whether you want the X1 Carbon 7th Gen or T490s.
To me more or less are the same, make sure come with HDR display, another thing is X1 Carbon 4K is glossy display while the rest is anti glare display.
Another thing is the Weight : 1.07kg X1C7 vs T490s 1.27kg really matter ?
Ram speed between both : 2133mhz for X1C7 vs 2400mhz for T490s and retailed box vs Standard box packaging.

I actually went for the t490s due to the long wait times for the x1c7 and 4k out of stock

My specs are i7-8565U, 1tb ssd and the WQHD 500 nits screen. Comes with the WWAN slot as well for this config. Total price was about 7.5k with the 15% discount. Now just waiting for the laptop
