1st time trying this

Step 3: (NVFlash ClockworkMod.)
Windows 7/Vista:
Navigate to the C:\NV folder, doubleclick the script called «flash-recovery». If you have an external SD-card (which, if you have followed the instructions, is resting on your table) press 2, if not press 1.

the S/W Upgrade screen, keeps appearing, after i disconnected the USB. try to power on with pressing down the volume down button, stucks at S/W screen.

I pressed 2 for the selection of flash receovery, it didnt work.
I went n tried to press 1, thot i selected wrong selection, now it could not work. sweat.gif

What should I do, any bros can help?
1st time doing thing like this to my phone.

Its recommended you provide receipt/invoice. If you dont have, just bring the warranty card along

Did you installed the driver? You can refer to this link (http://android.modaco.com/topic/335474-25-mar-nvflash-stock-rom-release-v10b-dated-1300166062-15032011/)

NVFlash is for use on Windows PCs.

Excellent details on how to set up NVFlash are available in this topic (thanks jmcnz), but in a nutshell the process is:
Download the ROM file below
Download the driver file below
Turn device off, remove battery, plug device in while holding volume up and down - screen will stay black but Windows will add a new 'APX' devices
Install drivers extracted from driver file download
Run 'flash.bat' from ROM file download
Wait for flash to complete and device to reboot
The all important files...

Can i go n press factory reset to reset all the setting even the software into the factory setting?
I really am a noob in these. rclxub.gif

Mind share with us what are you trying to achieve by nvflash? Getting the set back to stock for warranty? Depends on what you're trying to achieve, we can share our experience & opinion with you biggrin.gif

Here are some basic understanding
1. For those who have problem with the set and want to bring 'stock phone', use the nvflash link provided earlier, it will allow you to 'format' aka restore to stock in 'froyo' before you bring your phone back to service center for warranty

2. If you want to upgrade/update your phone to Gingerbread from froyo, there are few ways to do it. Easiest would be bring your phone to service center and ask them to do it for you biggrin.gif

OR flash it yourself via Clockworkmod recovery. Please refer to this link http://android.modaco.com/topic/348081-1-n...d-rooteddeodex/

3. If you want to 'update' your baseband to latest 725. Please read here (http://android.modaco.com/topic/335494-11-nov-smartflash-stock-baseband-release-103521-20110725-v20l-version/)

P/S: If you're wondering what is baseband & roms, think of it this way, your rom is like operating system used by your phone. Baseband is the channel they use (in this case, its the frequency) and to pair a correct baseband, they need the correct 'RIL'

Well, if you're trying out flashing custom firmware, you can refer to forum's like XDA too, its really full of informative stuffs (i learn alot from there too biggrin.gif)

Just wanted to root it and get rid of annoying stock apps like car Fsecure and Car home.
Since I'm using Gingerbread, found that cant use superoneclick to root. Am I corret?

Trying to learn from XDA forum too, but still puzzle over simple steps and guides. sweat.gif

Oh, then its simple. To get access to root, you need to flash CWM (refer to link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327599)

Its already explain step by step biggrin.gif make sure you install the driver, otherwise you can't detect the phone to flash biggrin.gif

Yup superoneclick works for froyo but not in gingerbread at this point of time  biggrin.gif

i read the wrong instruction. Managed to root it.
