But it also still waiting Google Android certification approval and debugging process. Meanwhile for the ICS Android, it is still on verification whether the hardware can be support the requirement or not. I really wish to thank for your concern and feedback.

For me:-

1. Random reboot.
2. People call/sms me but phone no respond, a lot of SMSes and missed call come in after reboot.
3. Always lang

Frankly speaking, WP7 is quite standardize. M$ restrict the hardware type and specs. It doesn't get outdated or hardware improve so fast like android(single core to dual core).

Still, its good to see O2X getting GB. While G2X already gotten it months ago(iinm?).

To answer your questions,

[OS] Froyo version is 2.2 & firmware revision that was shipped out was v10a and there has been updates from v10a to v10b,v10c,v10d & v10e (latest in froyo)

[OS] Gingerbread is 2.3 & firmware revision starts with v20l (official) excludes the beta (v20a to v20j)

Baseband quote from wiki "baseband is an adjective that describes signals and systems whose range of frequencies"

Ok, simplified what does baseband got to do is froyo uses different range from up to 725 & when gingerbread was introduce it is recommended to use 725

Hmm as for how to check ext3 & ext4 (refer to XDA forum, there has been alot of thread asking the samething) but what is can say is if you are using offical froyo and has not play around any custom rom, you're on ext3 and if you has install custom rom before, most likely you are on ext 4 (especially those try out CM7, it auto convert to ext4)

What are the steps? read earlier pages (not far just 1 or 2 pages before this, posted by me)

Important stuffs before flashing
Check for baseband
Click settings -> about phone -> baseband version -> if the last 3 digit is 725, then your ok to go for gingerbread, if not look up for instruction here "http://android.modaco.com/topic/335494-12-aug-smartflash-stock-baseband-release-103521-20110725/"

Just convert back to ext3 if you're not sure you on ext3 or ext4

1. fasterfix - this to fix your region ntp
2. gpsfix - this to help you fix your gps then your gps locking time will be ok
3. getril - this to make sure your baseband is compatible/ok

As for battery efficiency on gingerbread, still testing out the charges on official before can share with you here

P/S: Simplest way to update for those who bought original phone & not AP is wait for official release in malaysia & walk into LG center and ask them to do it for you. Remember to back up 1st because this update will wipe everything
