Bro, I'm not sure how is your contact is being used (from sim / google contact), as for me, i've uploaded all my contact to google (so when i add one new contact, i can access it from any android device i have, just add 1 dummy contact and see if you contact is updated - see the contact under gmail from website)

SMS - download any sms backup app from market, this will export all your sms into xml format and later after you wipe your rom, install back the same app and restore the file (its saved with name which derived from date your do your backup)

Apps - use titanium, this settle everything from app,data or both

P/S: which MIUI are your using? i'm using the one from galnet so i've tested the items mention above, not sure it helps you or not

Try this, download the apk from pc and copy into your sdcard and open the apk from your 2X (this is alternative way to install apps into phone without market)

Hmm, what happened there? hmm, which MIUI are you using? well i'm ok so far with galnet's MIUI ICS 2.11.26 since i'm testing it out, didn't find problem other the ones i mention in my earlier post about its being beta

Well you can always try other ROMS, there is plenty out there and what i can say is, their better then stock (its tweak, but warning: Overclock mean LESS BATTERY  )

i need to know if i still can repair this level of damage..
the unit was dropped from a moving car, but not being run over. damage only occurred from falling impact. i've tried putting the battery and turn it on - well it still working. minus the touching screen 

but my set wasn't ori.. its AP.. from PDA Gadgets.. can call LG MY ask the price ah?
