for me, normally just backup contacts using import to SD card. phone standard app i think..
or u can backup using LG suite maybe... pictures just copy to ur external SD or PC,

if HD/Gameloft games (normally have big downloadable contents), i will backup only CACHE to my PC..after reflashed, will reinstall .apk & copy cache again to phone. so no need to download all games data again...

not much to backup btw...
contacts n games only important to me haha
other apps i dun mind to reinstall

Obviously this GB release wasn't planned, they are forced to react to all the negative news spreading like crazy.

my next phone won't be a phone, it'll be the quad core tablet. I'll keep my LG just using it to make wifi hotspot.

Frankly speaking, WP7 is quite standardize. M$ restrict the hardware type and specs. It doesn't get outdated or hardware improve so fast like android(single core to dual core).

Still, its good to see O2X getting GB. While G2X already gotten it months ago(iinm?).
