So apparently players from China have managed to reverse-engineer Blizzard's Battle.net 2.0, which basicly enables them to create their own server, sort of creating a pseudo-LAN network for players to play WITHOUT the need of internet connection.

China doesn't really give a shit about copyright infringements and the like.

You do that any other place though, and Blizzard will send its lawyers out faster than you can say "lawsuit".

If Blizzard ever concerns the future of eSports, they should implant LAN at the first place.

And i wonder how many bandwidth that TM gonna sponsors WCG 2011 this year for Malaysia just for Starcraft 2.

Later 2 islands (8PCs x 2 island) for Starcraft 2 to serve 128 players, due to limitation of bandwidth sponsored, trolololol.

2" dota faggot is better than 2" sc2 players who cannot click find match. If they're young and competitive why not?
They might be our next Renson or Cobo.

Well let's not derail this too much, now the big question is, how will the affect the Malaysian Starcraft II scene? Assuming that CC owners and/or home PC users manage to get their hands on this. Personally I think that this will really help boost awareness of Starcraft II in Malaysia, but of course we can't deny the fact that this will might potentially screw it up as well.

I dont think there will be any different in Malaysia as the learning curve for rts is just too much to handle for dotard players. Same reason why you hardly see anybody playing warcraft 3 rts in cyber cafe else then dota mod.

The only thing that might ignite cyber cafe to actually use this LAN is if the sc2 dota custom game is out. But then again dota 2 is coming too biggrin.gif

the reason why there is no sc2 server in india is becuz of not allowing LAN, people just cant afford it, in a way, blizzard is hindering the potential of this kind of eSport, curse blizzard to the max, and support china, poverty for the win; capitalism is not biggrin.gif

I think Battle.net can coexist with LAN, we as a normal player go for BattleNet while Blizzard can sold a 8 player LAN package (specific IP) to a CC with BattleNet connection too. I miss those day that I can go to cc with my fren to play SC BW.

But I'm sure those hacker will make use of this lope hole to create a private sc2 empire.

LOL, what's the problem with dotards? DotA is more accessible, period. If top tier Malaysian dota player switch to Starcraft 2, they would own most of you guys. Doesn't matter if they never play competitive RTS before, their competitive spirit, work ethic and mentality is enough to get them to the grandmaster league.

Naniwa, IdrA?

Who cares about the BM. don't take them seriously. Its 1v1, only you and your opponent.
Why don't we, adults teach those kids to manner up, instead of alienating and criticizing them? I see improvement in nDL<insert extinct bird name>'s attitude after nDLseo coached him. Kids wont be kids forever.

i dont really like the dota community...most of the dota vids that i watched at youtube will have negative comments by the dotards even if dat video clearly stated its a tutorial...they will still bash the uploader calling him n00b n stuffs like dat...

personally, i like sc2 where people have to really pay to play it...and the community of sc2 looks better where people want to learn from each other...and if any of the tutorial seems not to a person's liking, that person will comment on what he thinks on how to improve the stratergy.

but then again, having a LAN in sc2 really can help spread sc2 community since malaysia is a country where FREE is the word everyone love...just hoping that even if the community become bigger, it wont become a broken communty like dota where people bash each other.

btw as much as every1 hate dotards, high lvl dota players (note i didnt call them dotards) have lots of potential to be good in sc2...
one of the best example i could think of is singapore's iceiceice...
i think most of them have better map awareness than most of us (except masters/ gm) lol...

dotards /= dota players

dota players merely plays the game like any other game.
Dotards refuses to play anything else and still think Dota is the best game made by Blizzard.
