seriously gladful that i never listened to this at jaben singapore during my purchase, or id be deepshit in debt (as if im not already in serious debts already ) swiping my card on that headphone and a more expensive amp than the govibe peak to pair with it.

btw the reviews from headfonia is really spot on i have to say, ad1k prm still has its qualities, and ad2k, rightfully deserves its spot as the AT AD series flagship, perfectly showing what the AD series is all about, air dynamic. first time i've get to hear such a dynamic soundstage, narrow to wide all in the same package. i know, that is technically impossible, however due to the airy sound signature, the ad2k really gives off that illusion that as if you're really within the music, or a live stage where your favorite artist is going left/right, back and forth throughout the stage, even the instrumental songs, you get the feeling as if you're taking a stroll down that orchestral hall, carefully enjoying the ambience from a different angle as you move.

if i am to have a next upgrade, no doubt this would be my aim. hopefully AT would bring an update to the AD series, or even better yet, an update to the ad2k flagship. its been sitting there since year 2003 after all AFAIK. granted, it is wishful thinking that they would do so, as all manufacturers rarely ever update, let alone replace their flagship lineups.

that's still the closest and most similar woodies to w11jpn and w2002, i'd say closer to w2002. (but 2002 more forward and better frequency extension at both ends).
