yeah, i think that's the best way.
cos for my credit card, it will just show the final charges (from USD to RM), no specific indication of any transaction charges too. maybe its already charged during the conversion?
example :
30th July - Amazon.com AMZN.COM/BILLUS US$113.97 RM339.84 = 2.98 rate
05-Jul-2011 - Amazon.com AMZN.COM/BILLUS US$39.46 RM119.94 = 3.03 rate
Just call bro, find out. Let us know too. Can be a reference for us.

I'm using RHB CC their CS told me they will charge extra 0.35-0.50 % but it is already in the RM amount shown in our statement
Usual CC charges..

Anyway event charging, also not really can know unless you call, as conversion rate keep changing.
I more hate Paypal rate, as they always charge higher than current, example now is 2.97 but Paypal charge you 3.2

Well, you admitted at last that calling is the alternate option.
It's a safer practice to call and inquire. Nothing wrong with finding out the details. Different banks might have different prospects and way of charging the customers. Don't jump into conclusion before knowing it in detail..
