Can you define what is cheap to you? RM10k is cheap to some and not to others...

If budget permits, buy original 18" rims, and adding some bars do help decrease the wobbly feel at high speeds, like front struts. Can do some self-poison at http://www.ultraracing.com.my/Catalog.asp?...=Inspira&page=1

Changing rims won't affect the handling of the car at all. Lower profile tires maybe. First check tire pressure (30-35, anything above makes car feel floaty and steering not able to hold straight), add front top strut bar, add spring helpers (rubbers) to minimise body roll. All mentioned mods wun cost you above rm400... You can spend more for lowered springs or adjustables if $$ permits.

Stock car itself is good enough, could it be you weaving in/out of traffic at high speeds?

For manual version can add turbo but so far nobody seem to have done it. For 2.0 cannot add turbo due to that cvt gb... low boost ok but whats the point? Other mods like exhaust and open pod not much improvement. So this is why this Ins thread seems mod free... and at times boring.

Changing to light rims improve pickup. Changing to better rubbers/tires make it stick better, not the rims. Changing to lower profile will improve cornering as less tire wall flex. But if you get 18" and invest in cheap rubbers, pointless. A good 18" rubber sets you back RM600-1000 per tire...

When I first got the car, tire pressire was 43 psi and I could not keep it straight (due to tire over inflated). Reducing it to 33 helped. Too low and ur FC suffer.

I cannot count the percent, I don't think anyone can place a measureable % to it, top strut bar itself improve turning to be a little firm. Not advisable to change rear antiroll bar else your car will be tail free (lose grip of rear a common issue with lancer). When the car is too firm, something has to give.. the tires...

Inspira body rolls a lot but you can almost never get it to lose its tail. Its excessive body roll you are experiencing. Seems to me you are another daredevil driver... 

Why wanna throw away the new 4B11 engine for a recon evo6 engine? Might as well get a recon evo6 car itself, everything is built in including AWD with limited LSD...and the HP...

Think you can get 18" rim with rubbers at abt 3K... but those are replica rims and dunno what rubbers they will give you. You can google what tires are good. For stock car, CC5 is good enough but not for high speed as I don't think it aquapans very well in wet. Bridgestone, Michelin or Pirelli... U hv to see the speed rating for the tires and reviews. If you plan to daredevil, the equipment has to match.

For struts, pls understand what each braces/strut do before you invest. Google for overseas lancer sites for tips.

u may get cheaper evo 6 parts but cant suit our engine bay la, and also its old and more problem later.
(wait are we talkin bout engine conversion or u talk bout gettin Evo 6 car as a whole?)

cuz its definitely a hassle,money n time to get evo X to our car.

Just test drove my friend's Lancer 2.0GT today. The power of the engine feels exactly the same as my Inspira but the gear changing for lancer is a lot smoother. When I'm on Inspira with D mode the gear tends to not shift unless I let go the accelerator a little bit

Don't know if its just my inspira. Anyone shares the same opinion?

no scratch on my bumps but side front bumper tkluar bit..i simply push it bit n fit into the clips, n it become normal..

total lost rm200, instead of rm2k... while negotiate i called my previous car painter n he told me to fix that rear bump cost rm2k+ due to lot of sensor n he not recommend me to sent there also because he never fix latest merz car..

luckily the driver n dato' ask to settle there n pay for rm200(act the driver asking for 200,but the dato relax je) and the driver told me that he can fix it for rm200..

tat merz just got deep dent about 1inch but no scratch..

actually im tailgating him to enter the main road, but my car was in slope position while him was already passed the slope.. suddenly he break to avoid car from the main road..

i didnt pull my handbrake, just push pedal brake n release while he moving towards the main road.. suddenly he brake n i bang his rear bumper.. quite high impact.. im worried if his bump pecah+mine also pecah..  

luckily tat merz minor dent(which i know cost a bomb for kuli like us) n i was happy nothing wrong with my bump.. that is +1 for proton !

moral: while in slope position please use your handbrake.

the hydraulic power steering gets energy from the engine, hence the rpm fluctuate.

it has been asked a few times b4..i think we should make a sticky on certain things.

just 20 min work, pretty fast.
