Can you define what is cheap to you? RM10k is cheap to some and not to others...
*
Well I don't really know how much is 18 inch rims, standard price for 18 inch rims consider cheap to me.

daniel,
go for 19 then..our car can take up to 20.

I scared the car too heavy, the engine wont be able to pick up as fast than. Coz now I'm feeling my inspira is dam wobbly its swinging side to side when cutting cars in high speed. Feel dam dangerous when driving this car. Planning to change 18 inch rims, full set sports bar, and (Future) mod to PP evo X body. Now I just feel the car dam dangerous when driving at the speed above 120. I scared 19 too heavy when mod in future the car will be super heavy that time need to change engine edi.

If budget permits, buy original 18" rims, and adding some bars do help decrease the wobbly feel at high speeds, like front struts. Can do some self-poison at http://www.ultraracing.com.my/Catalog.asp?...=Inspira&page=1  brows.gif
*
O.o thanks for the link XD really kena poison dy gg XD hahahax.

haha, get good light ones and yes of course good reason to mod engine and play performance. less kaki/owners mod performance  here tongue.gif
*
LoLx Yeap but I plan to spoil this mivec engine only change to evo 6 engine. XD Temporary just the wobbly inspira makes me afraid of going any faster.

Changing rims won't affect the handling of the car at all. Lower profile tires maybe. First check tire pressure (30-35, anything above makes car feel floaty and steering not able to hold straight), add front top strut bar, add spring helpers (rubbers) to minimise body roll. All mentioned mods wun cost you above rm400... You can spend more for lowered springs or adjustables if $$ permits.

Stock car itself is good enough, could it be you weaving in/out of traffic at high speeds?  tongue.gif

If I am god of gambler... I wun be driving a silver surfer... I will be flying one...
*
but changing rims do helps, it makes your car stick to the ground righT? Yesterday when I was driving around 110km/h or above when cutting cars the car was swinging side to side. I was like WTF!!!

The tyre pressure the lower the more grip it gives?? so 30 would be the best?

Yes planning to add strut bars, how many percent does it improves handling ???

Inspira stock it has the power but the handling wise consider quite bad coz experience a few times this car like the butt swinging off when turning. Lolx yes weaving in and out alot of cars but not traffic jam hahahax ><

For manual version can add turbo but so far nobody seem to have done it. For 2.0 cannot add turbo due to that cvt gb... low boost ok but whats the point? Other mods like exhaust and open pod not much improvement. So this is why this Ins thread seems mod free... and at times boring.
*
The only 2.0 can mod is evo 6 engine. Evo 6 is not manual engine rite?

Changing to light rims improve pickup. Changing to better rubbers/tires make it stick better, not the rims. Changing to lower profile will improve cornering as less tire wall flex. But if you get 18" and invest in cheap rubbers, pointless. A good 18" rubber sets you back RM600-1000 per tire...

When I first got the car, tire pressire was 43 psi and I could not keep it straight (due to tire over inflated). Reducing it to 33 helped. Too low and ur FC suffer.

I cannot count the percent, I don't think anyone can place a measureable % to it, top strut bar itself improve turning to be a little firm. Not advisable to change rear antiroll bar else your car will be tail free (lose grip of rear a common issue with lancer). When the car is too firm, something has to give.. the tires...

Inspira body rolls a lot but you can almost never get it to lose its tail. Its excessive body roll you are experiencing. Seems to me you are another daredevil driver...  biggrin.gif
*
Means I should get 18 inch rims with good tires what tires do you recommend?? currently ours are using continental rite? RM 1,000 to 6,000 dam for each == GG I think I can get 2,000 ++ each for 18 inch ones not sure need to check again.

I will look into the strut bar stuff again need to know how much handling it improves atleast I wont go wobbly and end up lose control den ok edi.

LoL I think I'm consider one of the dare devil but not often depends on my mood i guess. Bad mood = Petrol goes down fast lolx.

Why wanna throw away the new 4B11 engine for a recon evo6 engine? Might as well get a recon evo6 car itself, everything is built in including AWD with limited LSD...and the HP...

*
When the 4B11 engine dies, you have to replace it with another one seems like evo 6 engine is the only engine fits into 2.0 slots perfectly. XD

Think you can get 18" rim with rubbers at abt 3K... but those are replica rims and dunno what rubbers they will give you. You can google what tires are good. For stock car, CC5 is good enough but not for high speed as I don't think it aquapans very well in wet. Bridgestone, Michelin or Pirelli... U hv to see the speed rating for the tires and reviews. If you plan to daredevil, the equipment has to match.

For struts, pls understand what each braces/strut do before you invest. Google for overseas lancer sites for tips.
*
Pirelli is one of the tires I have in mind coz my parents audi A4 is using Pirelli too and I know the personal there in Pirelli which can give me discount and recommend me stuffies. I dun plan to get replica if get replica depends on what rims. Prefer ori rims which has longer lasting durability, replica rims often need maintenance but will consider. LoL i not like Matrix so geng >< I speed for releasing stress only.

for the strut bars will look into them thanks yea. ^^

u may get cheaper evo 6 parts but cant suit our engine bay la, and also its old and more problem later.
(wait are we talkin bout engine conversion or u talk bout gettin Evo 6 car as a whole?)
*
>< talking about engine conversion ... well have to find in good condition ones. If can't find will consider Evo X Engine gua XDXD. Evo 6 engine can't fit into Inspira's engine bay??? serious =X? T_T if change evo X is not just buying the engine edi .... the parts all so expensive == and if really convert to evo X inspira no S-AWD also sama gg ==.

Abit no point getting Evo X parts into our car, even if look like or with evo X engine and everything still wont have evo X performance. Thats why they are selling it at 300k ++ rite? lolx X-x

Just test drove my friend's Lancer 2.0GT today. The power of the engine feels exactly the same as my Inspira but the gear changing for lancer is a lot smoother. When I'm on Inspira with D mode the gear tends to not shift unless I let go the accelerator a little bit

Don't know if its just my inspira. Anyone shares the same opinion?

I ask that question coz one of them said our car actually learn the way how we drive. So probably in 8 months time the engine edi get used to the way ur fren drive. So when you drive ur frens car the shifting was much smoother? Maybe?? its related to Invecs III I think, Poadster explained this be4 you can try look for his post again. Or maybe you can wait for him to explain to you again =D

Good loh. Cuz here the sales ppl prefer to offer free tint instead of cash rebates. For me, I rather cash rebate even if the value is below the tint package price that they are offering. Planning to trade in my 95 1.6 Wira XLI too. any idea what is the price I am able to get?

Say could anyone give me the opinion of short ppl driving the inspira i asked earlier?
*
The seats are adjustable in height body to the car roof and length from your body to the steering. Test drive one to feel if you are able to reach the steering.

Just now I went to start my Inspira's engine, after the engine temperature warm up. I turned the Steering right without changing gear to D means my gear is placed at P. The RPM Metre went up and down, I thought it was just the engine but I turned my steering couple of times the RPM metre went up when I turned the steering. Than I put the gear in D and test the same thing the RPM Metre went up and down again ... can someone explain why???

is it recommended to buy a manual inspira?
*
emm you never drive a manual car before ><? how you get ur license =X~ lol anyway If you can afford the 2.0 specs den go for 2.0 coz much more user friendly for people who don't know how to drive manual plus it has leather seats, extra body kit, Auto Wiper and auto light sensors. If you like to go faster like manual, 2.0 also has paddle shifters =D

the hydraulic power steering gets energy from the engine, hence the rpm fluctuate.

it has been asked a few times b4..i think we should make a sticky on certain things.
