To be frank, the pricing for Lexus in Malaysia is really whack. I have to pay rm280k+ just to own the IS250 and 310k+ just for the full spec version.... Huh? For that money, even if the Lexus is of better quality overall, I also wouldn't want to pay that money for a Japanese luxury brand. I could very well get the c250 or f30 328i or top up 30k more for either x3 or Q5. In terms of image, prestige, the 3 German makes are still a class higher than Lexus.

I catch no ball what you trying to say really. LOL. If you're asking me if I bought the IS250 then no. If you're asking me if I can afford the IS250, sure. If I take a 8 to 9 year loan for it. But I wouldn't take a long loan just for that car, no way!

But buying a car like these, you're expected to keep it for at least 5 to 6 years before you let it go. That's why at maximum, you'd also want to take a 7 year loan for these types of car but even that's stretching it a little too long. Personal opinion is don't bother buying any of these luxury marques if you can't pay off the car within 4 to 6 years. For facelift models, you'd better be able to pay it off in 3 to 5 year period or depreciation will really hit you right smack in the face if its a 7 to 9 year loan.

You think the Camry is overpriced and underspecced - we get it. I get it too! That's why I couldn't bring myself to buy it despite the fact that I know its a car that will give me a huge peace of mind. But right now I think you're going too overboard with your criticisms and opinions and its starting to piss some of the people in the community off. Doesn't do you any good at all so why keep at it?

Probably, but 4 years down the road, I'll let the Passat go also according to my planned car usage lifespan.

When I got my Vios and Altis years ago, I sold it according to the timeline I had planned to sell the car off.

Spectra: 3/1/2 years
Vios: 3/1/2 years
Altis: Exactly 4 years
Passat: ETA 4 years, possibly 4/1/2 years
