It's not that I rejected ESP itself, but, I just curious about the data analysis that you have cited.
Any statistics book would reject the result if the error rate is almost the same as the effectiveness.
Can you please provide the original article that you've cited.

This video shows that there's always a limit in whatever safety features installed in your car.
According to the video description, the car's speed was about 200km/h.

How do you know that the Camry 2012 in the video does not has ESP installed.
Can you please provide the support document.

p/s: I am not against the ESP.

you are right - there's a limit to the safety features in your car that's why despite whatever safety feature, GOA body and all that stuff, you cannot defy the laws of physics or common sense when driving! With ESP, it helps reduces the chances of an impending accident by 30-35% as statistics has shown. Honestly I'd rather have a car with ESP than without it - you will never know when you need it.

UMW is trying to make more and more profit by not having ESP in the vehicle but i think this is a big mistake. They are lucky it's not the US here - most people in malaysia are ignorant about the benefits of ESP - some even think EBD and ESP are the same thing!!! I'm speechless...

P/S: Oh and guys, please don't make excuses for Toyota and that ESP won't help in X or Y situation...ESP is an essential safety feature and it SAVES LIVES.

say what you like guys..korean cars are a lot better than they were before..they're on par if not better than the japanese makes already.

even cybermaster98 is going for a korean make. for those who don't know cybermaster98 is a big fan of toyota in the past..appearing almost everywhere in those korean car threads here and in paultan tongue.gif

But now...look - he's gone korean because they've changed a lot since the old days. Yeah I'm driving a korean car too. Love every bit of it, don't have any regrets. Can't say the same for those who bought the Vios - similarly priced but badly specced.
