QUOTE(666devil @ Jul 3 2012, 09:51 PM) wah wah. now iphone vs samsung war pulak. How to justify? From 2.4v to 2.5v. From 2 airbags to 4 airbags , from vvti to dual vvti and from 5 speed to 6 speed....japan vs korea? come back to topic pls. Just try to justify this pls: Compare outgoing camry and new camry 1) New Camry highest spec rm10k more exp 2) New Camry removed the most important feature that even Altis 1.8/2.0 has, VSC! Now, please tell me how to justify buying this crap? |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jul 18 2012, 12:58 PM) I don't think he means it that way. If you really can't afford a car with VSC then so be it la. But it is a feature that should be made standard in this day and age regardless of the type of car a buyer is getting. are u sure about the toyota remove TRC also in the latest generation of camry? I thought VSC is absence only...and Do u think the consumers pay more money for less features? Why dont u think they using new 2.5 Dual VVti engine with ACIS and more airbags than before....So i think they raises a few thousand for upgrading from 2.4 to 2.5v from vvti to dual vvti and fom 5 speed to 6 speed n and from 2 airbags to 4 airbags sound reasonable. ....So I would rather have the feature than not, that's all. When the latest generation Camry removed both traction control and vehicle stability control, I found it shocking as they are essentially asking consumers to pay MORE money for less features with the asking price. Even worse when you compare the Camry to all its competitors, the car comes across as a blatant ripoff and utter disrespect to its potential buyers. Long story short, their loss is their competitors gain, I ended up buying a competitor product instead. If they keep this rubbish up, people will eventually realize the fact that they're been taken for a ride and boycott their products. It might not happen now but 10 to 15 years down the road, a lot can happen. Dont tell me that dual vvti is a not a new tech or whatsoever...at least it still a improved feature for which the previous generation model not using it.... QUOTE(Kalist0 @ Jul 21 2012, 04:23 PM) Gosh. How could this be? I thought k5 specs is so much better than 'crap' camry and yet the sales is so far behind camry. so specs is specs, rating is rating, crap specs is crap specs , as sales figure won't lie. all the end it still sales like hot cakesThis post has been edited by michspc: Jul 21 2012, 04:53 PM |

QUOTE(TamaUser @ Jul 21 2012, 05:02 PM) Yes, I agree with zweimmk. Reliability is the keyword. Seen any people buy korean car as their company car? Most of company cars I've seen are Toyota. that is due to affordability i guess??Add: Just finished seeing the sales statistics. Perodua Myvi is on the top of the list. Myvi isn't a good car anyway, but the sales goes to 8000k/ month. Get my point? |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jul 21 2012, 05:20 PM) One of the reasons yes. But it also looks contemporary and very well equipped. In terms of equipment, only the Peugeot 508 is better, the passat comes close but still not quite there. I like to think the Sonata got the ball rolling first and the momentum is carrying down. The strong sales of the Naza Forte probably helped a lot too in changing the public perception of Korean cars. Naza forte resale value is not that good also....it depreciate like 10k per year |

but the new forte cost only 80k + and the altis might cost more than 100k+ so the deperciate is more compare to altis...thats why i said the forte resale value is not that good
