hi there, apparently the first page has not been updated for a while and I need to find some info. I've went into XDA and there are no stable builds of honeycomb roms yet?
What are the most recommended gingerbread roms if no honeycomb builds are stable yet, thanks.

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Dec 19 2011, 07:57 AM) Am using stock (Russian, I think) 2.3.6 firmware now, with Overcome7 v4 kernel. Most recommended gingerbread rom would be Overcome7 v4 rom, I guess. thanks

QUOTE(khalpowers @ Dec 25 2011, 02:55 AM) How to install...download stock rom 2.3.6 chromed (included rom n pit) and JPZ modem - Flash with Odin as PIT, PDA and MODEM . reboot. -flash overcome 4.0 kernel with Odin as PDA..reboot - now u can flash my rom with cwm recovery..apply my tweakpatch which i posted yesterday.. reboot -done.. thanks. sorry for the noob question (i have NO experience whatsoever using odin), the PDA is for flashing the stock rom right? the modem obviously is for flashing modem (JPZ), how bout the PIT? can i flash overcome (v4) directly instead of flashing stock rom first (the g-tab is still running froyo btw)? because my internet is so freaking slow, need 5-6 hours to finish dl stock rom, however, i finished downloading overcome rom last night because i plan to flash that before seeing your rom. Thanks again!

Added on December 25, 2011, 3:54 pmif from froyo then u need stock rom 1st ...only Ginger can straight flashing to mod rom based on.Ginger... Added on December 25, 2011, 4:02 pmpit is for pit file....normally use pit if updating new stock rom.via Odin.... alright thanks mate. and can i use cwm or rom manager to backup the nand like other brands? i saw on the first page it seems that it's not as simple as using cwm on other brands like HTC, need to use odin also?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 25 2011, 04:39 PM) You can definirely do a nandroid backup using cwm recovery QUOTE(ZK Azer @ Dec 25 2011, 04:47 PM) Having tested Khal's 2.3.6 ROM, I can safely say that the performance is magnificent. It made the Tab glide along smoothly without any of the lag that sometimes pops up in 2.3.3. Will definitely switch to it once I am on Unifi On another note, Khal was also really helpful in helping me trying to figure out some issues with the ROM. Cheers mate. thanks for the quick answers and review. one silly question for khal, in which order should i flash the rom, pit and modem? i'm still downloading the stock rom to flash from froyo to gingerbread, so it's a good time to get all the info right before doing the flashing to your custom rom
