my kies has pop up an update.. is ur tab version XME ? and did u update ur kies? now is _99 edi..

jhonsonlee, hmm just wandering why do u care about this  P1000OLJBE or P1000DXJBE.
mine is P1000OLJBE
i quickly notice few things,
- startup or boot up sound..
- connect to kies via pc much faster ..

ok...flashed mine to Gingerbread already..

I'm on stock gingerbread now. is there anyway to root our tabs?

referring to step 22, is it a must or just an optional to patch bootloader before upgrading to 2.3.3 GB thru KIES?

I've accidently upgraded my tab to gingerbread 2.3.3 european version which is XXJQ1 using Odin. I need to revert it back to DXJPE in order to type in Chinese.

In order to do tht, i will need the firmware but the link you gave (http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-p1000.htm) is not working. I registered but when i key in my username and password at the authentication page, i wont let me login.

Any advice for me?

Anyone know where to get the micro-SD card to USB conversion device? how much?

I am now on stock DXJPI..damn it is smooth..better than DIP7 DXJPE rom...

I am posting the procedure below so don't ask:

Procedure (ODIN !):
- Press the thanks button
- Download and extract the firmware zip
(P1000DXJPI_P1000DXJPE_P1000OLBJPH_HOME.tar)
- Download and extract the attached (gt-p1000_mr_PIT.zip)
- Download and extract the attached (dbdata.zip)
- Flash the firmware tar as PDA, repartition enabled, use the attached PIT
- After flash immediately boot into download mode again
- Flash dbdata.tar as PDA (NO repartition)
- After flash immediately boot into recovery mode
- Wipe cache
- Wipe data / factory reset
EDIT: The bootloaders ARE signed, but NOT secured. Custom kernels and firmwares can still be flashed !

Of course ; I used DNA class 10 32 GB and sometimes Kingston class 10 32 GB on it
