Can I root galaxy tab which the link on the 1st post provided ?
25. I have upgraded my Tab to official Gingerbread BUT I cannot root it using Superoneclick - any other methods ?



Got the tab which is
Model number - GT-P1000
Firmware - 2.3.3
Baseband - P1000SXJPE ( From 1st post I can't find the P ? what does the P means ? )
Kernel - 2.6.35.7 root@DELL104 #2

Can it be root using the method on the link above ?

Hi got the galaxy tab , wanted to ask a few question ,

Which GPS apps and version can be install on galaxy tab ? heard that garmin cannot install.Which other GPS available beside garmin ?
second , normally how long does a galaxy tab last for battery life without any 3g gps and wifi ? just for pdf reading brightness 35-40 % sometime in night mode. ?

btw , does anyone know any aurora wallpaper alike ? tried with galaxy S live aurora wallpaper but fail . Any recommend ? thanks

tried with sygic , but the GUI isn't as good as garmin , no 3d building and i dont know how to set the road name , once a min or so the name of the road all disappear . Google Map is better too bad it doesn't have navigation gps .

the live wallpaper doesn't work , able to install but once apply it force close and the background become white.

rooted but I can't get google map 5.9 installed .Tried with it last 2 days (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007132) , first it comes with application not installed , then I force apk sudo R/W into the system/apps , but it can't detect my location .
Tested with 5.8 and 5.9 but what's the different between sign without sign ?

I rooted already , I am asking about the google earth 5.9 installation of Meta-inf file.

Update to latest 2.3.3 or try finding some apps which interfer with the tab wake up status or did you set correctly some setting ?

If wanted to upgrade froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3.3 , can it upgrade without erasing all the data and apk apps ?

can titanium backup also backup sms and all files ? like download files from firefox ?
