Try to use Custom ROM :-)

Don't use Kies. If you want to stick to a Samsung ROM (i.e. not custom ROM) then you can find an Android 2.3.6 firmware for the P1000 on sammobile site and flash it using the ODIN tool - backup first, though.

i check the 1st page and xda. i cannot find any link to stock rom and preroot if there exists. Btw, I do note this warning "WARNING! Do not flash JM*,KA*... README! [Patch released, L/N supported]". Now my Tab is in 2.2. Can guide me to have gingerbread please.

I only know how to use ODIN to flash firmware, never used Kies before. Hope you can do your own research, learning by yourself is always a fun adventure.

Sammobile has firmwares for SEA region - http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&...000&r=2#regiona (look for P1000DX*** - there is no 2.3.6 for SEA, only 2.3.3). I am using a European 2.3.6 release.

It doesn't matter whether you have CWM or not, ODIN flashes with Download mode and not Recovery, wiping everything on your Tab.

since now im at 2.2 and i install the bootloader checker. it stated that i only can flash signed firmware. I know that the one from ur foot note is signed right? just to make sure everything go well before flashing this.

My tab suddenly have problem charging when the battery is not fully dead (on or off also the same). It can only charge properly after it fully reach 0% (auto off). Any idea what happened? I suspect charger problem...
