QUOTE(ashx @ Jul 12 2011, 10:44 AM) 1. That's auto sensor in the works. You're correct the small hole top right ish is the sensor. Go manual if you hate it. 2. The " this phone belong to >>>> " only appears if you install anti virus app ( sorry cannot remember exactly which one). You open the app and you can set in your name2. Hm.. i've never found that as well.. never bothered about it in any case 3. did you check setting -> date and time. Set to auto. 4. Setting -> SD card and device storage. 5. Same as previous post mentioned.. or try Press and hold both Power + Vol_Down button. It will reboot into download mode. 3. To select time specifically and set timezone specifically - at settings disable the top box Automatic using network values and set manually 4. This type of issue happen as the card is not preformatted like most others usually being sold. The card is probably a OEM unit meant for preinsert in phones and phone formatting which was taken out for sale. So just format it in FAT32 on your PC - if you cannot use normal format use this SD tool to unlock the initial locked status and format : Your seller has pull a fast one on you http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/sdfv2000.zip 5. Just install the USB phone drivers and if you want PC to see the drives , make sure at settings/applications/development you have chosen USB debugging Please refer page 1 postr # 3 Tech issues I have posted solutions how to get Tab detected by PC This post has been edited by benny888: Jul 12 2011, 11:12 AM |

QUOTE(Racerx @ Jul 12 2011, 05:28 PM) Anyone? I have yet to read /hear about bricking cause the IMEI to go missing - these happen I know in Motorola, Motorola based phones. So far all the postings I have read of users soft bricking or hard bricking - never notice any IMEI missing issue. I could be wrongOne more thing, let's say if i follow the instruction to recover from a soft brick from here will the IMEI stay the same as original? If softbrick , you can follow my guide too ( page 1 post #5 on Upgrading firmwares and roms ) - many , many users in this forum here has revive their tab just following it. The XDA link you pointed needs you to work with samfirmware.com downloads which personally I do not encourage soft brick users to attempt unless they understand what they are doing |

Gone back to 1.6.4 - still the best and most stable. Latest Jupiter issues of scanning SD continually and slow is irritating. Also faced several auto resets while browsing
I installed a fresh Jupiter from scratch , reinstalling my apps one by one |

QUOTE(rawjuck @ Jul 26 2011, 10:51 PM) yes I did restart it and also restore factory setting. but it did't work. when I can't use the samsung keypad, my bluetooth keyboard also can't work. What rom are you on ? If after doing a factory rest, still same issues, looks like you need to reflash the romThis post has been edited by benny888: Jul 27 2011, 12:13 AM |

I must say i am impressed with the stock gingerbread dxjpe . I rooted it with chainfire kernel
Using it 2 days already and am very happy. Its performance is miles ahead of the original stock froyo So those who worry about root n flash n warranty do update it to the official gingerbread release. |

QUOTE(Eclipse80 @ Jul 29 2011, 02:49 PM) Hi guys, I am planning to update my Froyo to Ginger. I believe I can do it at any of the Samsung Service Centres right? Yes you can do it any service center. You can try the main one at Plaza Berjaya , Jalan Imbi( 1st floor )Based on your experience, which Service Centre will you recommend? One more thing, will updating the OS cause all data in the tablet to erased? Yes, upgrading firmware will remove all your apps/data/settings etc. So make a backup of your important stuffs |

QUOTE(Eclipse80 @ Jul 29 2011, 04:15 PM) Thanks man. Btw other than better and smoother interface (issit?), is Ginger a more stable OS than Froyo? Basically Im curious if it is worth the upgrade. YES is worth it ; it is very very much smoother and faster than original stock Froyo. I only use stock froyo half a day and upgrade to cook rom. Having test the stock Gingerbread, I can say most common users ( not geeks ) will be very happy with stock GB. Change the default Launcher - it will even be better |
