HW pad - no idea at all ; will have a look at it when I am in KL next trip. Won't be buying anymore 7" tablet - already bought the 7+ ( a worthy upgrade to past 7 Tab) and still have another 7" ( Blackberry Playbook )

Never have such issues on my previous tab n present 7+. Looks like battery need replaced

The present Tab latest OS is Gingerbread 2.3.3 - try to auto update it yourself at settings. Browse thro all the features available at settings to understand your Tab. OR download the manual - guide at page 1
You can send in your Tab to any samsung service center to upgrade OS - is free. Refer page 1 for guides if you wish to attempt flashing yourself

Did you select password authentication for smtp ? It sure can work - have been using it in all my androids, my PC and iMAC, MBA

If still cannot try use back pop.tm.net.my and roam.tm.net.my for smtp

Some guy reported about rm150 at service center inclusive installation. I would say is cheap considering its size

You are just too lazy find it in the xda thread.

Download the manual on how to install the rom. It is the best written manual on rim flashing I have ever come across. It is a one step guide to everything from backup to rom install

Battery only 6 months warranty

Just flash back to stock official rom. Did you keep a record of what firmware. If you didn't just flash any Asian rom. Check it up at samfirmware.com
All tab boitloader by default is unlock
I never have problem claiming warranty with rooted n flash tabs. Most of the time service center never bother
