QUOTE(kazama82 @ Jul 1 2011, 07:56 AM) crap, last night charge 10 100%, wake up and found out my battery drop to 60% due to wifi sharing and i NEVER on my wifi connection...heard it's a bug for Android 2.3.3..hope to get a fix soon.. from my experience, my bat was also problematic for a first few days using it.. but since last 2 days, it suddenly improved, i went back home after work, still got around 40-50% juices.. i suggest for those having new phone to be patience, and try to do cycle charge a few times. |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Jul 3 2011, 04:56 PM) This has been mentioned so many times that if this question popup 1 time and I get a RM10 , I should b able to get a SME SGSII now ........ Yes , its duo core , its gonna b hotter than any single core sorry my bad, i bet must have missed 769 pages of this thread.. QUOTE(terrorisk3 @ Jul 3 2011, 05:09 PM) We all SGS2 user will experience the same as what you are now....Dual Core technology will create and generate HEAT so it is just normal bro. The technology itself is build for that type of situation, so be no worries. thanks for the infos. Just for your information....last few weeks when i'm using the SGS2 (oversea set)....i faced a very rare overheat feeling, and it is toooooooo dammmmmmmmm HOT came out from the phone when the phone itself hung at loading some high end games (can't remember what is the game) Around 3mins with hanging condition after that i decide to kill process and reboot it.....and then you know what, after the incident and till now i experience that my phone is working SUPERBLY HELL SMOOTHS SPEED and DARN MORE EFFICIENT.....thank god for that. And now i'm very2 satisfied with these product. Maybe i just got lucky but yeah, the heat generated was quite not ignorable.. it makes me force myself to stop my activity with the phone and let the device cool down.. well, i wish the manufacturer had inform buyers "WARNING: Excessive heat will be generated by the device, please use carefully". |

my SGS 2 still running stock ROM until now.. NO root..
BUT, I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS PHONE! day by day, it become slower and slower.. become more and more choppy.. can see more checkerboard on web browser, and choppy when i zoom in and out. and few times encounter forced close!! the fon is quite empty. only angry bird installed.. some pics.. NO MP3, NO VIDEO downloaded inside.. still got very spacious memory (with +8gb memory card).. but why it becoming slower and slower?? only SMSs become accumulated inside.. i mean, ITS A DUO-CORE! its not even better than a single core iphone 4 in term of smoothness. do android phone always needed to be rooted and installed custom ROM to run better? sighh.... will do hard reset later.. hope its just some bugs. QUOTE(xyz_cityhunter @ Jul 6 2011, 03:52 PM) Did you clear cache? How long did you use your phone? If it's a hardware defect and get it change 1-to-1 fast... ermm i did not clear cache.. how to knw if its hardware defect? there is no obvious problem of the phone.. i just feels it.. i felt my previous iphone 4 was smoother than this. or did i expected too much from a dual core??QUOTE(JusticeDeserves @ Jul 6 2011, 03:52 PM) Hmmmm...are u sure? i am on stock rom.. i have taken up 8 gb on songs and video's..dont ask about the messages. and its still working fine. haishhh i just hope this is really just bugs... yes i do reads ppl are satisfied with SGS 2.. but i dunno y my SGS2 like this.. or is it just ME? i used DHD before, its just more or less the same with it.. dual core should be wayyyy better right?Maybe u could do a hard reset. mite be bugs as u said.. The ROM just alters the config of the hp to remove the unnecessary stuff.. WELL thats what i think..lol QUOTE(nicregi @ Jul 6 2011, 03:53 PM) Honestly I never encounter this problem of yours. You does sound like quite frustrated with android. So you from apple? /gg am i from apple?.. how should i define my niche.. i use both OS and changing regularly.. i like both, and im not fanatic to either one, just looking for the best, even if Symbian better i will go for it. i used android since HTC HD1 (Symbian before that), then keep on upgrading, then change to 3gs, then to desire Z, then DHD, then back to 3gs, then iphone 4, then IS, then SGS2 (this is my very first samsung) Check on your Apps. Sometime Apps causes it. I have over 30 Apps now but my phone is rocking even before I root. Added on July 6, 2011, 4:49 pmi wish if i can take a look on others SGS2 and compare.. anybody here willing? i live in Cheras. can treat u McD or starbuck. QUOTE(llobak @ Jul 6 2011, 05:01 PM) @un_id YES bro, that is what i mean.. 1-2 sec lag, sometime choppy.. not all android phones have to root only can use. it just depends, my gf htc desire 1 year ad never root never give her any problem. I also feel very lag. But i know that's because of touchwiz, everytime when i want to go back to home screen, it takes me around 1 or 2 sec. So I just install launcherpro and ditch the touchwiz. now it's like butter. for example, i have 7 pages of home screen, from the 1st screen, when i tap at the last page buttom (there are "dots" buttons for pages at the lower part of the screen right), the screen will scroll to the 7th page. there are times that it will be lag, or choppy animations.. but also sometime it was just smooth. another example, when im typing a text msg, after sent, then i push home button, the screen hang for 1-2 sec (sometime more) before it turn to home. a few times, the sms apps forced close! when browsing web.. now im using Dolphin HD. i felt graphic rendering is quite slow, got checkerboards when i scrol pages, or zoom in or out.. but i remember it was smooth in the first few days im using this phone.. but maybe its due to the Dolphin apps.. well, its just minor lags or such, but again, its a dual core! |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jul 6 2011, 05:05 PM) Yes, you did expect too much. Go use an Ipad 2 for a while. IMHO it HAS it's laggy points, which shouldn't even happen supposedly. thanks for the infos. BUT, IT SHOULDN'T BE LAGGY ALL THE TIME. If it is, something's wrong. Better yes. Wayyyyy better? Android, and most of it's apps ARE NOT QUITE dual-core optimized yet, really. And the stock browser is crap to tell you the truth. Get something else. And again, about lag, it should have it's laggy points, but should be smooth generally. Android IS NOT GPU ACCELERATED, so it will NEVER be as smooth as the i4. At least not on Gingerbread. Do try hard resetting. If it's still laggy most of the time, either something IS wrong or everything is simply not smooth enough for your preference. And do go try comparo with somebody else with a stock SGS2. And actually, to tell you the truth, the i4 might seem smooth and quick, but is in truth quite slow. I ran my i4 back in the day with fakeclockup - faster animations - and my i4 will more often than not take it's sweet time after the transition animations (app launch) have finished to launch whatever I tapped on. Apple hides the slowness of the OS behind those smooth and extended transition animations. Clever and devious. |

QUOTE(xakarix84 @ Jul 6 2011, 06:01 PM) i guess it's because the procrssor aren't running full speed all the time? so it will lag abit when running at lowest speed to save battery and suddenly we 1 finger touch already want it to respond and process thing more than the lower speed can go smooth... QUOTE(dishwasher @ Jul 6 2011, 06:17 PM) Using app killers and freeing up RAM isn't really necessary, nor good, for android phones. Thanks2.. This is one of the many articles about this. Read up a bit. To un_id, what I'd do if I were in your shoes would be to check on the CPU usage of your device. You may have a badly coded app hogging up CPU cycles, thus the lag you feel. I personally had only a week experience on stock ROM, but I felt no lag during that period of time, except when I had one homescreen page that had the youtube app, news app etc on it. Too much animation on that page, plus my Sakura Falling livewallpaper I think. Even then mine was rooted and I used Titanium Backup to freeze a bunch of Samsung apps that I had no use for. Well, it makes sense tho, maybe I should remove some of the widgets on the screen.. Well, I guess the reason y iphone is smooth bcoz it dun have multiple apps running simultaneously. Where as, in Android environment, it enables us to put widgets and other stuffs, which r running all the time. I got FB, IM, mail, utube, weather, news widget on my screen. Added on July 6, 2011, 6:44 pmAnd live wallpaper, photo frames, calendar, to dos too.. This post has been edited by un_id: Jul 6 2011, 06:44 PM |
