Anyone here can help me out.before i updated in v6, my phone cannot make phone call due no network but amazingly i can surf the net sometimes even though no network detected (wifi totally off).since i got no response (maybe this is way repeated question so no body bother), i guess the culprit might be some software downloaded from market (free apps).uninstall and restart...and wallaa.there is network and it stay on.

Now the problem is opposite.there is network (can call and sms) but can't connect to data to surf the net.try to restart but still nothing. now what factory reset?

any one here can help me out?

ehh...identical to my problem.onli mine suddenly no network(telco signal) and has to restart to get it back and it repeated.i think it might be from software i downloaded and i already uninstalled it.now it happening again...sigh

since u've been on sgs u must be more experience in android than me.might opt for backup the file and do factory reset

seem our problem drown in anticipation of getting the phone

Received my SGS2 on 29th June and ever since it start having emergency call syndrome (out of blue not receiving any network signal).only after reset, it regain signal and same story goes on till date.

To overcome this prob,i tried these:
- factory reset 3 times
- manually choose telco/network carrier
- update/flash firmware (stock XWKF1 -> XWKF3)

so for these only reduce problem's rate to occur.PLease,help anyone?my sgs2 still not rooted

this is my third time posting the same problem here.

update:just now flash baseband to XXKE4 per above post and will monitor..

hard reset eh?will try later...now want to see whether by rooting the problem can go away (doubt it though)

Mine also got rainbow effect on the screen...no SP applied,is it normal?

Just wanna update on Emergency Call Only Syndrome (ECOS) i had on my S2.it hasn't occur yet since i root and flash to litening (keep monitoring) .But i've to say...Litening 1.5 i blardy fast, in terms of performance and battery drain

usually whenever i said as above it will jinx it.Another minute the ECOS visiting back...touchwood dis time

Now i can confirm my SGS2 is a defect unit as to day the ECOS keep kicking in after all the flashing, factoy reset,hard reset,rooted and change roms.haih....quite a hassle to claim for warranty.no mood to play with the phone rite now

since it rooted.i need unroot it before send for warranty claim rite?need to clear flash counter?

crap...just found out the earphone got something clinging in side.whenever i turn my head or shake it, something rattle and produce an annoying sound.first the phone itself and now this...luck is something i missed lately

Guys...i try to revert back to touchwiz from litening rom and already download stock rom with stock fw. now i'm stuck when there are 4 tar files after extracted.the question is...which file should go to which box in odin?
