SGS2 is exclusive to Maxis, hence other telcos are not able to advertise anything till the exclusivity ends.

i think your feedback here is not 100% accurate

a. depending on individual usage. i was having the same amount of juice when i was using my iphone at the end of the day.
b. this can be rectified by flashing a newer rom
c. same as above
d. never encounter random restart in my life of using SGS or SGS2
e. again, this can be rectified by flashing a newer "modem"
f. bulging? please define further as i find the back cover is nicely designed, that's why SGS2 is the world thinnest phone

hahaha i guess all telcos are same. i will decide based on the below criteria:

1. coverage
2. device plan
3. service (i hate to talk to customer service, hence i place this at number 3)

1. never encounter that in my life of using SGS and SGS2
2. that's a known issue, no big deal
3. that's the standard feature of the phone, increasing ring
4. same as 1
5. same as 1
6. same as 1

Added on July 4, 2011, 12:19 amdude, only korean's SGS2 has NFC. if you want NFC, that would be the SGS3 or whatever name they wanna call it. NFC wont be popular here, the ecosystem is just not there yet.

when launch home switcher, did you click at "clear default"?

if your phone is rooted, you can backup all your apps with titanium and restore all apps after installing new rom. usually it will take me less than 5 minutes to restore all my apps. hence it it never a hassle for me to install new rom

1) To transfer files to a PC / Notebook using ordinary USB port?
is USB port a showstopper to transfer file? it has never an issue. i would rephrase my question to is there any apps to allow iphone to transfer file to pc? the answer is yes. even without any apps, the moment you plugin like SGS2, it will be detected and you can copy and paste file like usual (without app, you cant access root folder)

2) To transfer any files via Bluetooth to another phone like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, etc?

4) If battery spoilt after 1-year warranty, can they just replace the battery easily? Buy and put in yourself?
if you know how and have special tool to open the phone, then the answer is yes. other wise you have to let ppl earn your money. battery cost is around RM65 + labour fee = RM100-RM150

5) To use video call but 3G (not Wifi)? and to other phones besides iPhone? Possible?
yes and no. non jailbroken = no, jailbroken = yes

yes, either USB or hotspot

yes and no. natively it only support certain video format, but you can download app to play all the format

yes and no. you can change some style or feel and look provided that it has been jailbroken. not as flexible as android

what do you mean by not able to backup all? usually i only backup apps and leave system apps aside.

actually i find villain 1.3 very stable. further more i like it's dialpad because it can search contact easily. i believe this feature is unique yet to find the same feature from other rom, as in official rom. btw, villain 1.3 is based on zskf4.

that's because it triggered a connection to server for registration. if you have not register, just follow steps to register first. after that data is no longer needed to run Sygic.
