Just a quickie, if I want to change from one kernel to another let's say from KF1 to KF2, do I need to flash to the stock first or I can straight-away flash it to KF2? Do I need a backup first? Fyi, I used Odin to flash from stock KF1 to CF-4's KF1.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jul 1 2011, 10:56 AM) No need , just flash - this is not Motorola or Dell You can only backup your rom . Why you need backup kernel - just flash it back and you get your old kernel back Thanks, it makes sense now.

Although SGP casings are top notch, Zenus' ones are not bad either. Mine just arrived today from Korea. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

I decided to ditch the SGP Ultra Fine screen protector that I bought. It doesn't look good on the screen at all. Any feedback on the Oleophobic SP?

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Jul 1 2011, 10:01 PM) You should consider either Crystal Clear or Oleophobic. Don't go for those anti-fingerprint or matte type...looks grainy and blur, right? I got a free Belkin Matte SP when I bought a Belkin Case....the SP was matte and grainy...i tore it out on the same day...can't stand it....spoil the Super Amoled Screen effect...haha The Oleophobic is great (at least to me)...I have it on my old SGS as well... Ahh I see, thanks. Luckily my Zenus case has an extra SP that comes along with it.

Guys, I just wanna ask a quick question. I just installed Lite'ning ROM on my device. Whenever I press the power button to lock my phone, does the screen go off with a 'flash effect' before it turned blank? Is this one of the features of the ROM?

QUOTE(manx @ Jul 2 2011, 11:00 PM) Guys, i have been reading and watching all the tutorials available on youtube about flashing to litening rom. but i have a few questions. 1. Before flashing the rom, i need to update to chainfire KF1 kernel first by going into the download mode from the phone 2. To flash with litening rom, u need enter the debug mode by pressing volume up + home + power button. Then using Odin start the flashing using the 2++MB litening tar file. is rhis correct? 3. Can i directly start with item #2 because i already rotot my kernel uaing supercurio? Hope to get some advice from sifus... really interested in doing funny stuff to this phone Before I installed Lite'ning ROM, I already have my phone rooted with CF-4 KF1. I think it should be to safe skip to Step 2 (just follow the steps in xda on how to flash Lite'ning) and you'll have Lite'ning ROM installed in no time. This is from my experience though. Do it at your own risk. This post has been edited by Jer: Jul 2 2011, 11:06 PM

QUOTE(ventrilocks @ Jul 2 2011, 11:23 PM) no need root..just straight flash litening rom..the rom itself is rooted.. I was just highlighting my previous situation to manx so that he can see the comparison. My initial plan was to use VillainROM which is why I had my phone rooted first. It was only later that I decided to test out the Lite'ning ROM instead. This post has been edited by Jer: Jul 2 2011, 11:34 PM

QUOTE(zumapuma @ Jul 3 2011, 02:47 AM) i was hoping u'd get it first and then u tell me laa whether its worth it or not. hahahaha joking2 =P yeaa, if its too good a offer, its probably crap..haha but the seller's got a pretty good review from the buyers on ebay..hmm Positive feedback/review means everything in eBay. It's not easy to sell something on eBay if your reputation/feedback is crap. One method is to read the feedbacks of the buyers associated with the item that is being sold and make your judgement from there.

Guys, I'm trying to bulk the SGP Samsung Galaxy S2 Case Neo Hybrid Series. The package will also include a Steinheilâ„¢ Ultra Crystal Film. I will take in 10 units at a time and the estimated price is RM100 (shouldn't be more than that) including Pos Laju. Will bring in more if the demand is good. The available colors are listed below: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Reventon Yellow Soul Black Tender Blue Dante Red infinity White Champagne Gold Sherbet Pink Satin Silver <SGP Store Link>

Just received my 32GB Class-10 DNA card today. Managed to transfer some video files, then played them on the default player and they lag! Tried playing the same video file off my phone storage and I got a smooth playback instead. *sadface* This post has been edited by Jer: Jul 4 2011, 10:25 PM

QUOTE(zoule HCo @ Jul 4 2011, 10:31 PM) what rom that u use? I've issues with lite'ning rom v.1.5.. lagging on default player.. and no problem at v.1.4.. I also use class 10 micro sd card.. I'm on lite'ning ROM 1.5. I'm getting 10Mbps R/W speed which is normal. I thought that it was my SD memory card that was faulty. This post has been edited by Jer: Jul 4 2011, 10:37 PM

QUOTE(destEX @ Jul 4 2011, 11:38 PM) what's the size of your movie and the length of the movie? Mostly 300 - 400MB music videos. I'm using MPEG-4 DivX/AVC codecs for my files. I never had to convert or alter any of them, all I did was just copy and paste into the mem cos the phone actually supports the file types and codec. Previously, I had no problem playing those videos from internal memory.
