You can do with Super Manager. In the Settings, tick "Enable Root function" and select busybox file to default path. Then, in the File Manager it will ask for the access type. If not, just press menu and select Switch to RW

Can you enter Download Mode?

There might be an issue with your kernel. If you wanted to start fresh (may wipe your data), I suggest flashing back the stock ROM or you can try flashing stock kernel only first.

No issue for me so far. Try flipping your speech engine between Samsung Vlingo and Google Voice in the settings.

Settings -> Voice input and output --> Text-to-speech settings -> Default engine

Samsung TTS only produce chimes whereas Pico TTS will have voice navigation. Kill Maps after the changes.

Make your phone into download mode first. Then plug into pc and fire up odin. You should see one COMXX on the Odin. If more than one, then there is other COM port interfering the ODIN. Put the three file to respective field. PDA=PDA, CSC=CSC, Modem=Phone. Leave other settings to default and never put any PIT file and do not tick repartition.

Press start and look at the progress...

Try download again the file. Might be corrupted. Yours is AP or SME set?

Did u install any VRTweaks?

Some tweaks modify settings page like call recording. What are the tweaks installed?

You can just replace it with the original apk before unroot.

You're not outdated. You're running the latest official firmware for South East Asia. Your baseband and build info is correct, only your kernel is outdated (XWKE7 is UK latest official firmware). You can flash to CF-Root XWKF1 Kernel.
