i got a problem on installing xp
when i wanted to install XP, i pressed F6 and it asked me to load SATA driver
so after loading all the windows-related hardware files... then proceed to which partitioning, after that format...
i got stucked when it starts to copy files
it says cannot find "iastor.inf" and a few more SATA files
when i skipped these files, after rebooting, blue screen of death came out

i tried to download the floppy F6 files from intel and toshiba site, but still no cure
when i used pirated winxp cd, this problem will occur
but when i used original cd, it asks me to insert intel matrix storage driver into drive A
i kept pressing ENTER key, but it doesn't seem to load my floppy also
and that file is about 5.4MB... it's ridiculous

btw, i've flashed my bios to the latest 1.80 before this

u using windows xp with service pack 2 ???

i tried installing xp on a m200 or a200 also no prob ... it must be the sata driver u download ...

got problem ... when u load u also need to choose which sata driver to use ...

they got a lot of choices in the list ...

so u have to choose the correct one ...

yes, windows xp sp2
actually i installed xp without problem long time ago, then i flashed the bios... and reformat
so this problem occurs

i've tried drivers found in both toshiba and intel, but no luck
there're 4 choices to choose - 2 desktops and 2 mobiles
when i choose the first one (the name reads as 82801HEM), it cannot detect my HDD
so i chose the 2nd one (82801HEM/HBM), and detected my HDD

just don't know what happened
anyone using bios 1.80 on satellite m200 here?
