Just got L510 so far so good on ahem W7

Me mami L510-S401 c2d t6500, 4g RAM
Speaker is fine to me but don compare to those wit woofers....
Running smoothly on windows 7
Palm rest will be a wee bit warm since im not using it in ac room, but not an issue since i prefer using optical mouse
Over all id say its a good buy (fingers crossed), and running out of stock everywhere when im scouting for it a week ago

left slightly warmer but not as warm as compacts i tried b4. Long typing im nt sure cause i just got it and just use it for surfing, speakers i just get sonic gear ego 3nity to make up for its lack of bassness
