hi all, since this is the toshiba forum, don't know whether y'all mind answering this doubt that I have.
firstly, I intend to buy a new Toshiba notebook from the US. the notebook would come with 1 yr standard warranty i think. I think the warranty also covers internationally so I can bring it to the local service provider/repairer (Teledynamics) and get it repaired (in case the notebook breaks down). but what if I want to purchase extra warranty? do i get it from the sellers in the US or get it from Teledynamics? I think the extra warranty covers every notebook no matter where they were bought from, right?
hope somebody would enlighten me on this. smile.gif

u have to check and see what does the international warranty covers ...

plus u cant buy an extended warranty for US models in teledynamics ...

they wont have the exact parts here ... if it warranty does cover in malaysia, its still gonna take sometime for repairs cos the mobo version in the US and here r different ...

well, from what I read, the 1yr standard warranty covers internationally and covers repairs worldwide. I think you can take it to the local service provider and get it fixed. well, i think it's ok if its gonna some time to get it fixed, as long as its fixed. but, what I'm concerned is the period after the 1 yr standard warranty expires.

didn't know the US mobo and the version here is diff blink.gif
why is that? is it because of the diff voltage?
