Hey sorry so long never post. In UK now. Liecteser City to be exact. Stardying to be loktor.

Anyways, my M40 no prob. Speakers if u complain are bad wait till u hear the acer or IBM ones. Almost non existent. I can still semi-blast mine so that my 2 other neoghbours in the room can complain! It's a laptop speaker. Although i have to say, my volume can't go up that high, about 40% and it resonates. Thing is, it's a laptop so dont expect too much.

Only REAL complain is it get QUITE warm... I mean warm now cuz it cold in UK but back at home for 2 weeks, i would sweat so much my mouse get slightly icky. Solved it wit a coolermaster usb coolerpad. Got 2 usb ports some more so solve my issues of lack of usb port.

Mycard reader a bit loose...my sister's one tight like heck. So i think its quality control issue here. HDD noisy meh? Maybe cuz i have a external HDD and a cooler pad running. Even when off i dont think its that loud but its all personel if u ask me.

ALl toshiba notebooks put their windows key on top and has some minor quirks...if u complaining u better come up to uk where they have their \ key at bottom left and they put their @ key near enter...Also they have a different Pound and Doller sign.

My LCD latch is fine. If hardware like loose stuff is an issue im sure u can go back and change it....except in some shops in low yat which i shant mention. I bought mine in ipoh so my dealers dont always get to sell 2 high end toshibas like this so they very nice to me...unlike in low yat

Hope this helps.

I agree. Also, went back to try pushing my loose memory card cover and it DID go back in place! Was tight at start, after using in Malaysia for a week it was loose and now after using it in UK for a week and trying again to push it in, it's tight again. Had to press and slide.

Um, the screen looks fine actually for me. Try configuring the color. there are a few software that can correct them. Sorry cant think of any off my head now. Not at my laptop now. Using uni library net.

Man do i hate British keyboards. Stupid '@' and '~' keys are all around the place. ¬ is at the ` key....u guys better not complain yet about toshiba placements...wait till u check out the keyboard i have to use here in uni everyday.....

Oh, wats happening in ,malaysia these days? the haze still around ah?

Um, actually so long u tested before its ok. cuz when they send u it cans till be faulty one.. so long u happy with the build and the layout as well as the other physical aspects of it, then no problem. i also didnt get to really try out my M40. just read loads of reviews. But i did see the screen and hear the sound of the older m30's and tot, wa the old version alsoso good the new one should be better.

Hmm, recently sum one pm me about their speaker sound getting louder and softer after being nudged while running mp3s. wonder if anyone else get that problems. so far when i watched one movie ( a bug's life) it had a problem of getting abit softer after 10 minutes of play...not like lot softer but bit d=softer...would go back up after a while. think its something to do with running it at maximum volume. also i think it could be the toshiba's SRS Xt thing. not so much the speakers...will go back and retry without the SRS to confirm...thing is though, without the SRS movies sound really soft.

i can post my 3d mark scores if you want
my geforce 6600 is the 128mb version but i did benchmark my sister's one which is the 64mb version and her one just came out 200 point lower than mine for 1024 x 768 for 3dmark 03
my score is bout but when i push it to 330/660 goes around 6000+ (drivers are the new 80 from laptop2go)

but my sister's one <stock> is around 4900.
also have to make sure drivers are the same to properly compare
