i 'll just placed an order yesterday through vender at pc fare price with free ram. to be delivered in a day or two. from sabah.

what does it mean by two years local warranty?

Local warranty means you can claim warranty only within Malaysia.

1st year international and 2nd year local.... Thats what Toshiba gives...

i got the same model as u too...yea my temperature is about the same as yours 60+...
It is very hot especially at the touchpad...but if i have air cond then it will remain at 50+...

Do you think using a cooler pad can help with this situation??

erm?are u a gamer may i asked?what temperature does your laptop hang around when u game?
what software u used to check your laptop's temperature?
I doubt cooler pad will help much. i searched through the internet, if u really wan to cool down ur lappy, set a table fan to blow directly at the vent of your laptop.it works but easily to trap dust in it so u have to clean often but cooler pad only bring down a few degree celsius even you have zalman.
i thought p7450 is much more better than the tseries proc in terms of saving energy and producing less heat?

I m not a gamer haha juz a normal uni student doing some assignments n web surfing...but juz normal word processing and web surfing the temp got so high. I use pc wizard to check the temp.
I asked my frens using other brands eg. Dell, Benq...they say it is normal. I tot of getting myself a Zalman but since u say it doesnt help much then i think i'll juz stick to having my air cond though the electric bill will go haywire haha...
Maybe i'll ask my fren using a portege M800 too, see wat temp he got...

yes 3 fan. i saw someone selling in garage sales for Rm35.

can refer back to last few pages, a member using zalman claiming that it only decrease about 8 degrees. Which isn't worth buying imho

jeez dident heard about this thread for a decade man than eddy for the reminder hahahahaa. so what is up to date now , i need to get myself update to the latest technology. So i was about want to upgrade the ram and i saw the ram is damn inner and looks like i need to dissambly the LCD, the Keyboard and the Buttons. looks like is very hard for me to do. wish me luck man.
