With my old Satellite 2410 the Harman Kardon speakers made a big difference compared the the "Crystal" speakers in my current Satellite A80. The ones in the Tecra 9100 even better.. can blast all the way to the limit and no breaking sound. Hopefully this new generation is just as good.

If the RAM is defective, yes the warranty does cover it. But if it is not the RAM problem or hardware problem then there is no coverage.

Toshiba hardly seems to come up with gaming or really high performance lappies unlike Acer or Dell.

From my experience Toshibas are not really known for their battery life compared to the Lenovo/IBM. They seem to have relatively short battery life.

Have heard... but have you tested one before ? Friend and I tested the Tecra M5... even with much adjustment the max we got was a bit over 3 hrs.
Thinkpad there is the R series eg. R 51e which is in the same price range as the Satellite. Haha.. not sure if qualified to join. Mine is Satellite A80-C431 my second Toshiba after my 2410. Almost 3 years and still going
