All the models not sure... but I do know over RM 5000 they either come with 3 years or have an option to upgrade to 3 years. Mainly more expensive and higher-end models

Those numbers like P456 are the package code. P means Pentium M C= Celeron and so on.

There are many different packages for Toshiba notebooks. You can go for Satellite M40 P540 or Satellite A80 P440 at RM 4799 and RM 4599. Not sure whether the prices are updated or not yet.

As an owner of an almost 3 year old Toshiba Satellite, I am quite sure you will find the quality good and it should not disappoint you no matter what series you take.

I went to Toshibas's showroom in Shah Alam and I have some advice for those who wish to buy Toshiba laptops. First, make an appointment with a salesman its very easy, just phone them up and tell them when you are coming. they will give you the contact number of the salesman. phone the salesman and tell him what model you want to check out and what specifically you want to see. I'm telling you this because when I went there the salesman was completely blank and didn't know how to demonstrate what I wanted to see.

About the CSV screens, I think they suck. The viewing angles are bad, just little out and the picture looks funny. The colours and contrast aren't any better than the normal screens. worst still, the screen is too glossy, it look like a mirror. The reflection makes it very hard to see what's on the screen. I prefer my R1O's matte screen, it's much better

last of all, wait for the pc fair, the prices are much better. I was lucky the manager gave me the PC fair price. RM 600 discount, double ram plus 2 years international warranty. the salesperson also said that I can get PC fair price even if I go to Toshiba Shah Alam during the PC fair

In fact I tested one of the CSV screen models. The picture looks brighter but as for the contrast I would agree it is about the same as the Matt screen ones. I'm not sure why you say viewing angles are bad but compared to previous Satellite models I feel it is better. But compared to Tecra or Portege I would have to say "no contest".

PC Fair price sounds attractive. Which PC Fair ? this coming PC Fair ?

I too am trying to sell my notebook off or look for trade in. Normally for trade in they will not offer you a good price. Better to sell it to friend or something. I've forgotten which series the M10 is but if it is newer and smaller than mine I wouldn't mind buying it up from you.....that is after I manage to sell mine.
