I want to try something, if you're wiling to do it:

1. SIGN OUT of all google products on your PC
2. then sign in to the Gmail that you use to request Google+ invite
3. then go to https://plus.google.com/
4. you should now be able to click join project and you should be prompted for their first and last name and a "Join" button at the bottom.

Please give it a try if you don't mind

Since we can't possibly invite everyone tonight, we've made a google docs spreadsheet (http://t.co/bM12BYZ) add you're name the list!

And those of you that get invites and want to help out, take care of someone who needs an invite from the list please! #googleplus

you can still get in! here's how to do it:
1. make sure the person you are going to invite is SIGNED OUT of all google products on their PC. (to the best of my knowledge this won't work with the Google+ App on android)
2. sign in to your gmail/google account and go to your Google+ homepage.
3. type a short message in your stream, and put the person you want to invites' Email address in the "To:" box below where you just typed (I believe it has to be a GMAIL address.)
4. now have that person sign in to their gmail account that you just sent a message to.
5. now have them go to https://plus.google.com/
6. they should now be able to click join project and they should be prompted for their first and last name and a "Join" button at the bottom.

This has worked 10+ times for me! I never got an email with my invite, nor has anyone I have invited yet....until they Join and sign in of course.

For anyone who have already invited but still didn't receive the mail, might as well try this out:

If you know for sure that you've been invited but not receive the email yet, just go to Google+ main page, https://plus.google.com/ and try to sign up.
Some have said that they don't see the invite in their Gmail but can sign up.
Worth the try
