I'd rather it be spent on infrastructure development and economic growth. Tens of millions still okay, billions a bit too much la haha.

Also it's not just the amount spent, it's whether it's spent effectively. If we can concentrate on the marketing of the league to the people, then we can bring extra revenue in which can be redistributed to grassroots development on top of the initial investment.

Then, it will be a sustainable and realistic model. The key is in igniting widespread national interest. More viewers/followers, more sponsorship money poured into local football, opportunity to afford quality foreign players who will boost the league standard and profile.

It's not easy, though. At the moment, the majority of people are too busy following the English leagues on TV and not bothering to go to stadiums to have a proper football experience.

They should create hype and make more interesting. Develop from root. Good for economy and tourism else well.

it can be done.. but first thing is WE NEED TRUST.. say no to match fixing activities and work more harder on medias and promotion, all football clubs in Malaysia need a very good relation.. invade all free internet media first like youtube, twitter, facebook.

then only the real investments will come and come.

if govermant really want to pour money into football, let them pour all of them into grass root development. i think its somehow the govermant's responsibility to provide education to supply manpower to industries. Sports industry is no different.

Let there a special scheme to train and hire former athletes as contract coaches in all schools...

organize community leagues all around the country...

provide sports scholarship for student to go to university. make IPT football prosper and attractive.

i want UPSR to be abolised so that primary school kids learn more core value stuffs like critical and creative thinking and also sports.

bagi saya pembangunan bola sepak akar umbi perlu dimulakan oleh negeri masing-masing.kerajaan pusat telah membelanjakan berjuta ringgit(melalui kementerian belia dan sukan) untuk membina stadium,balapan,pusat sukan serta khidmat fisiologi profesional,tetapi setakat ini,kemudahan tersebut gagal dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya oleh persatuan bola sepak negeri.

sebagai contoh,akademi pembangunan bola sepak.setakat ini yang saya tahu cuma ada satu sahaja di malaysia.(di SSBJ) dan jumlah pengambilan pelatih pula amatlah terhad.Kemudahan yang saya lihat(di Perlis,Perak,P.Pinang dan terutama sekali negeri saya sendiri,sabah) adalah lebih dari memadai,tetapi tiada usaha serius untuk menubuhkan akademi bola sepak negeri.(ya terdapat program pemilihan anak-anak muda di setiap darerah terutama sekali waktu cuti sekolah tetapi latihan yang diberi tersangatlah ringkas dan tidak memadai)

Jika ingin serius dalam meningkatkan lagi mutu bola sepak tempatan,penubuhan akademi bola sepak negeri(ataupun kelab,seperti Felda, ataupun sime darby,yang mempunyai kuasa kewangan yang amat besar) perlu dipertimbangkan
