QUOTE(hongrui @ Feb 8 2012, 04:25 PM) what iem & source are you using? i would suggest the cmoy or the mini^3, both are DIY amps. I'm not using an IEM. I'm using a sony MDR XB700 and a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 as my source. Pretty soon I wanna get the ATH Pro 700 MKII~ I checked them out! thanks man ! QUOTE(noobandroid @ Feb 8 2012, 09:47 PM) ahhh i see.. how would you rank it with the cmoy bass boost? does the ZO give real thumping bass?

hi. I'm aiming to get a Fiio E17 for the ridiculously good ratings it has received. However, I don't know if it is practical to my needs (considering the hefty price tag ) I'm a definite bass lover and sorry to say, don't really pay much attention to mids and highs.. well at least to the point that as long as they sound averagely clear. I'm using the Sony MDR XB700s, probably considering an upgrade to the ATH Pro 700 MK2s. My source is a samsung galaxy player. Will the e17 still be the best choice for me? Or should i just get the ibasso d-zero? or maybe the e7?

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Feb 26 2012, 06:44 PM) D-zero is not for u, it is bright and for treble-lovers. IMO u will love the E17's bass setting since u are a basshead. i see i see so i'll cross out dzero thanks for info. e7 and e17 bass significantly different is it?

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Feb 26 2012, 06:52 PM) Skip the E7 if u have the budget, E17 is far better. E7's amp section is quite weak, maybe on par with the E5 only. thanks for info. I have the e5 and they suck big time. just say that i'd get the e17 anyways coz i think occasionally id use it with my pc as well, will the bass improvements on the e17 be a whole lot better than those on the e11?

QUOTE(em0kia @ Jun 27 2012, 06:50 PM) So it means e11 is much better than hippo box in your opinion? Sorry, i am not really sure what u r talking Added on June 27, 2012, 11:51 pmAnd may I know whats the difference between t-muso and cmoy? to me. YES. Fiio E11 is the one to go. The e11 packs a lot of power, u can never go full volume with these because just by turning the knob little by little can get really high volume. Also, the EQ settings are simple to tweak with, if you basshead, u will definitely love it. Fiio e11 to me is darn powerful, drives my headphones and IEMs to become real bass monsters. battery life also not bad. can always last from 10-12 hours la. sometimes even more.

Hi guys. I just bought a Shure SRH 1440s and currently have to just power it via my Fiio E11.
I've been thinking of getting a desktop amp, because I won't be able to use it outdoors anyways. So meaning a DAC.
Looking for tube if possible, but whatever nice sounding solid state also can lah.
budget below RM1000.
Been thinking of getting the E17+E09K combo. Good ah?
I tried the bravo tube amp and I think its fair enough, but doesnt look like a DAC tho. And probably there are many other amps out there that could do the 1440s more justice.
