QUOTE(calmshot @ Jul 5 2011, 06:52 PM) solo hd is built for portable rig such as ipod/iphone. so actually it doesnot need an amp to push it. else if you want to have a lil change on the sound signature, then you can couple it with an amp. but i doubt you can hear the change of sound signature, because beats solo hd is not made for details/clarity sound sig, just for fun listening. Haha... So means adding an amp is useless.. Noted.. or... if you want to boost the bass, then amp will help you with bass control. for me, it is not worth to get an amp for solo hd. unless you get audiophile grade headphone to couple the amp. QUOTE(calmshot @ Jul 5 2011, 06:58 PM) actually it is not useless. if you want extra bass for ur solo, amp with bass boost can help you to get that. So which kind of amp can boost the bass? But i think the bass is enough QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ Jul 5 2011, 08:40 PM) Hafto audition first then you will know if you really need an amp. I'm still looking for my first amp. Choose carefully. Lol.. Where can i find those amps for audition.. @.@ At least for my case, I'm looking for warmer and more bass due to the sharpness/lower bass on my ES7. Need to do more and more audition. |

So for example, if my setup is like this:
Macbook Pro Headphone Port > Martini+ > DT770Pro or iPhone > LOD > Martini+ > DT770Pro If using macbook consider as bi-amping, since the headphone port from macbook can drive headphones, while iphone lod give only line out which cant drive a headphone.. Kinda confuse actually.. Any good USB DAC recommend? I dun wan with amp one.. |
