I did an assignment for my Organizational Behavior class about Melaleuca a few months back. From what I researched, the commitment per month is based on points... I think around 23-25 points if not mistaken (which amounts up to RM200-350 depending on what you buy)
Similar but slightly different from what kjisdaman said, ppl don't really "buy under you". of course, it's kind of like mlm, but it's different in the sense that members don't sell products to other people directly, they're actually not allowed as they can only buy as much products as their commitment requires every month (hence they cannot buy the products to be sold to other ppl). What ppl may simply refer to as mlm/direct-marketing, they coined it as CDM- Consumer Direct Marketing. From the members I know, when they refer people to become members under them, they gained a substantial amount of commission every month only if the member under them fulfill the commitment without fail monthly. I'm not sure about the trend in Facebook for Melaleuca members to tag people, but the members I know are more laidback in their ways- they simply recommend their friends a product they think is effective/relevant to the friend's usage, if the friend likes it, the friend would naturally want to be a member under them. Products-wise, I personally think their products are really good- it's environmental friendly and safe for consumption/usage unlike popular brands which are controversially known to contain harmful chemicals. If TS is thinking of doing this business, it would be lucrative/profitable only if you have a wide network of friends who's concerned about health/environment and have the cash monthly to commit and purchase RM200-350 a month. Otherwise, it might be tough. Hope that answers your queries, TS. |

I been studied then biz plan, it is indeed an interesting plan..BUT surely is not as easy as tagging ppl in fb!!!Added on July 5, 2011, 12:28 am QUOTE(kjisdaman @ Jun 30 2011, 11:33 AM) well its MLM or network marketing or direct selling.. whatever term u refer but same technique & process to make money. Added on July 5, 2011, 12:33 am QUOTE(princesZ_jesZ @ Jun 30 2011, 02:03 PM) yea! you have to buy their products up the certain total every month. No as expensive as 500 - 800. It is in the range of RM 250 +-. Basically is never meant to be a burden. If u have a household of 4 ppl and more, u simply need to switch store to Melaleuca, u can easily reached 35 points ( ard 250 +-). I am ordering above 50 points now simply because I love the products and feel safe to use them. The products contain no harmful chemical and surely are not a lot more expensive the commercial products. Once u try hem, u will fall in love with them.minimum is 800 or 500. i forgot. but their products are kinda good. they promoting products that are environmental friendly. QUOTE(vin_ann @ Aug 10 2011, 03:56 PM) wow... never realised of these detail also. You're welcome. thanks for sharing. How about buying for "extended family members" ? should be not consider selling to outsiders right? Meaning, if you want to buy a few products worth RM300 yourself and your friend wants you to help her purchase another RM300 worth of products- that goes over your 'point quota' and you would be unable to make all the purchases. In this case, and if your friend is thinking of purchasing consistently from Melaleuca monthly, it would be better to create an account for herself- where she can purchase using her own account as well as gain some incentives if she could refer friends to create accounts as well. |

i wish i have this kind of friends who want to buy RM300 worth of products constant for every months... all of them just one off purchase trying the products and stop. sometimes i found difficult to maintain the minimum quota, but lucky im consider heavy user for fitness related products! That's how i completed my 100KM ultra marathon |

Compensation Plan is easy. You just have to know how the plan works.
For example, if you refer a customer to shop in Melaleuca, you will get rm90.00. If you refer more, you'll get more. Other than that, there are many other ways to earn easily. Once you become a Director, you'll get minimum guaranteed income of RM375 monthly. rm375 is guaranteed and is minimum. rm375 is enough to cover the monthly commitment of 55 points, which will be around rm300 - rm400. How to be a director? Its easy also. Just refer 8 personal customers to shop in Melaleuca, and your a Director already. Let me know if you guys need more explanation regarding the Compensation Plan. I will be willing to share my knowledge. |
