My friend bought an iPhone months ago and until now never connect it to iTunes.. Now when he plugs it in, itunes will ask him whether he wants to restore from a backup or register iphone as new device. If he registers as a new device will everything inside the phone disappear? I'm not able to answer him as I have synced since day one..

Hi there, I've follow the 1st page how-to-do steps to work on my itunes and newly bought iphone4. Everything is fine except one problem that I found.
Everytime after I download [free apps] from itunes, the apps logo will automatically appear on my iphone4, with status "Waiting". Despite I've try sync my iphone4 with Itunes (by plug in the device in laptop-->Apps--Sync). The "Waiting" status remains unchanged on the phone. The only way for me to install the apps is by deleting the apps logo appear on iphone, then drag the applications from library to the device. It is so time consuming and inconvenient. Is there anyway that can enable automatic sync of apps everytime I plug in the device into laptop? |

If I gonna reformat my desktop OS which I having copy of my backup on it, the moment it reinstalled OS on my desktop, and I connect my iPhone on it and sync, it seems that all apps' data has lost, all save games, all history, etc.
Contacts and official apps data it will keep, musics, photos and videos is not an issue for me, but 3rd party apps are always lost it data and just like a new app, even its placement in my home screen is reset once I sync to my newly formated PC. What should I do to keep all things unchanged but sync to new PC as usual? p.s. using Windows 7. |
