Im using a solid rod when i go for saltwater fishing. Its a RM22 rod from Kepong Tackle but i've reinforced its rings with epoxy. Sometimes you'll need the brute strength to help you land the fish.

The catch rate is pretty low there. If you got more money to spend, go to kolam perdana.
RM25/hour but got 10kg groupers, merah etc.

Whar ryobi reel did you get?
Price? Im thinking of either a Ryobi Oasis or a Shimano Sienna.


Oasis's drag is powerful, looks durable but its slightly more expensive than Sienna.
But Sienna =Shimano=

Sienna 2500 3.5kgs, 4000 6.5kgs

Sealion kolam perdana is RM25/hour. But really got big groupers there.
Ppl who go there normally hook 2-3 prawns at one go if they're targetting groupers. Now got bawal also and most of them will use apollo though its not allowed

2-3 prawns on ONE hook for grouper and apollo for bawal. kembong slices for jenahak.

Why not?
A size 5/0 hook can easily fit 4 medium sized prawns.

LS pond is very far from Klang if im not mistaken. And more expensive.

Taking half day leave tomorrow and probably going to sealion in the afternoon..

Damn these reels nowadays are getting prettier and prettier.

Yea most probably if it doesnt rain. If it rains there i wont be fishing also.

Kolam 2 RM15/hour & Kolam Perdana is RM25/hour

Minimum is 3 hours. Package is from 11pm til 5am rm60 if im not mistaken.
Yea i went today.Didnt want to go at first because kl sky was cloudy. Played at kolam perdana but only got one 2kg jenahak.

Kolam perdana 8pm to 12midnight is rm75 while 11pm to 5.00am is RM100.

Its up to you. For some it might be expensive(for me) but for others its worth it. If you're lucky while fishing at kolam perdana then its worth your money.
