QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Jan 31 2012, 10:05 PM) Ajiking/Tomman reels suck. Not some models. The entire range. They may look nice but actually spoil easily. The place i go in Melawati is a catch & release pond. RM10 for 4 hrs I am looking for reel that can be use in saltwater, salesman advice me to find reel that has "full metal body". Can you recommend me some reels that has "full metal body" ? I am not really sure about the budget coz i m not really sure about "full metal body" reel's price range. Maybe RM200+-, i guess. You dont really need to listen to the sales person. What kinds of saltwater fishes are you looking for? Will you be fishing in deep waters? If you're fishing at non deep waters, a Shimano Sienna is a decent buy. http://www.shimano.com/publish/content/glo...ing/Sienna.html

not really deep also, most likely Pulau Ketam Kelong or Saltwater fish pond. Looking around 2000 or 2500 reel.
I might get the Sienna since it is Saltwater Approved, any other reels to recommend ?
Kenny, where is the Rawang Natural Pond ? please PM me if you do not want to post here.
Where is the Melawati Pond too ?
lol, I am a newbie in fishing. Please tunjuk ajar sikit. Thank you.

QUOTE(vioxmonsta @ Jan 31 2012, 11:06 PM) Wanna tag along kenny? I'm going this sat.. friend of mine said that midnight have higher chances to get hooked ,so I'm planning to go @midnight. Midnight I scared too many people, chances of tangle other lines are quite high as people won't lock their drag/open bail. I prefer to go early evening though. Maybe next time la Added on January 31, 2012, 11:02 pmRawang natural pond near Jusco, or you can try finding more info in Facebook, they have a page there. Wear a pair of gloves lol. I'm a bit cheap skate 1, if I pay RM100 to fish, if women's underwear can catch fish, I'll use them too. For reel about RM100-Rm150, I like the Penn Pursuit that I'm using now. Or a daiwa Regal. Siakap Merah? thanks bro ,i live at Bangi but always going back to my hometown when public holidays. That a siakap merah or mangrove jacks, fighting with them is very hard because they tend to run to underwater structure. For me the siakap merah is more delicious compare to siakap putih when cooked..

Bought the ajiking atom 2000 series, been using it for a good 6 months. It's a basic cheap reel for freshwater! Doesn't do well in saltwater, as i realise the frame warps! It's not very strong, though it is small (was planning to use it specifically for bulus fishing!). Have upgraded to the Penn Battle 2000 instead!! metal body Waiting for next trip to use! btw... melawati pond where ah? anyone got details, love the rm10 for 4hours plan
