Hey Geon,
Same old same old. How are you doing mate? We have a TT for fishing, free to join us? smile.gif

Bro Willer,
Here in KL, the toman and haruan is facing much pressure. But again, you can try at Tasik Prima Puchong, perhaps you have the Lady Luck with you biggrin.gif

Bro Daddy,
Could not agree more. Even if you use heavier and stronger hooks, it will also make the action differently.

yes bro, quite effective..normally i pass by i see most of the guys will use popper..get a rapala popper, shouldnt be expensive.

All Angler to Jurassic,
Jurassic Pond is purely lure and single hooks only. You can use soft plastic but with single hooks. Ultimately, the treble hooks are a NONO!

Bro Viox,
Would suggest to use Storm Chug Bug. As the size is bigger and it's larger mouth cup, it would produce a pretty good action to the most basic angler. It can also be used like a pencil for Walk-The-Dog action. It should not be more than RM25~30 each smile.gif

Bro Kayent,
It does not matter the hook type. As long as it's a single hook and the eyelet is to fit your lure, then it's fine.

Single hook for luring. Please take note of the eyelet where it is different from the 2 above.

Bro Einjahr,
Yeap, have done eging many times, best part is to see your friends being squirted!! LOL

Bro Presario9,
I have done Babagon and a few other places for Kelah including India. In Babagon, it's not receptive towards any lure or spoons and i only did fly fishing for the elusive Kelah. smile.gif In India, it's more towards bait where it is prepared by the guide. Not sure what's the ingredient.

For those that is new to LURING!

Luring, a word that is usually being used to state the method of fishing using fake stuffs. Be it the fake stuff could be anything but not limited to everything smile.gif

In the fishing sport, there are various type of lures that is available in the market, from shapes, weight, color, actions, floating/sinking/suspending - too many to elaborate. Contents are from Rapala, please refer there for the ranges and colors. Please check out the pages as there are techniques and swimming action of the lure being shown. A good learning esp thru videos.

Bro Viox,
Usually bouncing the bottom or vertical jig about 20 times and drop to the base again. Slow pace. You probably get Groupers too.. smile.gif

user posted image
Since the snapper is a demersal type of fish, you should be bouncing the base for higher strike rate.

You can use this for a reference.

Bro Inv,
It does. The imprint is on the top of the box smile.gif

how bout the jig lures?does the short n long 1 makes any diff?
*
Bro Viox,
It does, and its solely dependable on what target you are hunting for. Refer Shimano site for the actions. It's all about hydrodynamic. http://fish.shimano.com.sg/publish/content...ries/lures.html
http://www.williamsonlures.com/products/jigs.php

The rule of thumb is 1 feet of water depth = 1 gram.

EG: 60feet deep = 60gram.

But please remember to put in consideration for the current. If high current, perhaps 80~100g smile.gif

Ya ka, must look properly next time liao.. wanted to get some rapala but since cannot find the info needed, I end up buying yo-zuri n duel lures. Love those lures btw, excellent swimming action.

Bro Inv,
Duel and Yozuri same company. Thus you would be seeing similarity in their lures. Same goes Rapala and Storm.

Hmm Kepong Tackle,.. near my office. Very tempting. Can drop by at JM Tackle too, just across the street.

For those buying lures, there are many brand out there. A decent price and brand to start would be River2Sea (Available in Kepong), River2Sea price are as low as RM12-15 for the poppers.
I personally prefer the Japanese Lures like Duel/Yozuri/Ofmer,.. still working my way up to Megabass.
As for the mat salleh brands, I prefer Storm to Rapala.

Bro 1Dollar,
All the lures has its great action being researched and developed and all senses.

However, it has to match the tasting habit of the target fish.

In my experience, i have tried a million lures to get a Pacu, and the one that landed me the first Pacu is actually the River2Sea lure. Small and tiny, ard 3grams weight. Then, i used Duel(cant remember the model) and landed some Pacu. Then i tried with many other lures on the similar action and size, that also landed me Pacu. So in my own conclusion, i does not know what Pacu wants, till i found one and manage to get with any other brands too...hahaha

Oh Yah.. the frog dual hooks ok with Jurassic's rule ? those hooks cant be change right ?

Bro 1Dollar,
Gauging from the pics, the size are around 7cm+ if not wrong. It is good enough for the Jurassic TT. Any others you can use mine

The frog dual hook cannot be removed unless operation
