QUOTE(kayent @ May 21 2012, 11:08 AM)
The subang lake plenty of ppl foul hooking the fishes, especially near the back of the hotel restaurant. Main 'jerat' they say. Damn cruel lo. Even the tilapia I foul hooked was when I was reeling my line in at a paypond and it got caught. Released back into the pond though.

On natural ponds, have u guys tried the small natural lake at Kota damansara. Hardly got a lot of anglers there, weekends I go maybe 3-4 the max. 2 months back I spotted a school of pb's swimming around. But I spotted a dead one there too, as long as my foot. Some guy saw it first near the bank, tried casting a bait but the fish no response. In the end, was carried out with a net, dead. There's also a koi in the lake...still saw it few weeks ago.

Btw, heard from old folks saying that some ppl release a koi to the wild to throw away bad luck? And that catching it will bring u that bad luck? How true is that? Cuz i saw this incident Of the koi in that lake, some fella tried to catch it with some bait...the moment he casted, a lightning n thunder struck nearby on a fine day...and he said pantang. Hmmm???
*
Bro are you referring to the KD forrest reserve lake right after the Polo club ?
That place plenty fishes i tell u,.. just matter if you dare to cast light line in,.. the amount of weeds growing wild is damn irritating.
I know cos i lost on in there, I rig a weedless jighead and still lost it.
That lake got haruan, PB, arowana, talapia, toman, damn a lot of tortise, soon hock, heard got patin also.
I've seen the first 4 types with my own eyes swiming around teasing you,.. the fishes there telling you,.. "come waste your lures in here"
Think i will load a 60lb line and rod go there and get my revenge. Love the place and the serenity and the peaceful lush greens. Water slapshes happens as frequent as every 2-3 minutes.

There is another pond in KD, behinds Covar condo, heard got 4-5 kg tomans in there.

There is a sign board that says penalty fine for going over the fencing of RM10000. BUt i heard ppl saying anglers bring sampan, can turun boat from the sides. I tried walking into the jungle and look for a casting place, the shores are too soft and made up of sinking weeds. I didnt walk all the way into the end.

THis was taken about 2 months ago.

Added on May 21, 2012, 12:41 pmalamak,. i resize too small,.. cant see the arowana.

Rory,

Eat out easier la, can last min confirm how many heads from the fishing and who interested to join. If bbq, you need to get confirmation, else too much or too little food also not shiok. Eating out and voting during fishing would be an easier task.

Bang its in Kota damansara, you got strong magnet to drag the bottom for lost lures? Kalau boleh,.. i also wanna join dragging.

If you all wanna go scout and recce the place, head towards kota damansara, pass Carrefour on your right,... follow the road and bends. Once pass the POlo club entrance on the right, turn right at the traffic lights and go up the hill. You will see the lake in front of a condo.

Attached a pic of a second lake close by, but no way to get to it. Darn polo club is all fenced up.

Bro 1Dollar,
Can set up a 1/2 day trip there?

Me and Bro Chun have both inflatable boat and fiber boat

Possible to launch a boat there? Since it's not huge place, i propose that we use paddle enough liao. No need thruster also smile.gif

I am good for any Saturday mornings,.. but i worry my setup too light to fight weeds. Max only 20lb setup for Rawang.
i have 6, 10, 15 & 20 pounds settings.

Bro Kayent,
Attached map to Cova suite. After Sunway giza,.. u go on till you see Segi college University. Its at the back, I've not been there but some other malay dude told me got tomans.

Anyone tried fishing in Bandar Utama 4
Bro Inv found this place, we were suppose to to check out.
Looked like a flood control pond, anglers were spotted according to our source.
After 1U new wing,.. drive further down and take the first left turn. This lake is on the right side.

that's the thing la. he never ask before buy. N I think the tauke also never told him earlier. He bought the rod, reel n line all siap pasang. He chose the rod himself considering the action was quite stiff. Straight kena...pak...break into two.

U working around BU? I staying at the condo nearby

I assume u at pelangi then. Yeah i am in First Avenue attached to the old wing of the mall.

lol, can join the Subang Lake and Kota damansara ? sea jigging is a bit too much for me.

Usually Saturday mornings 7am, me and Inv will go Subang lake (middle one). There are 3 lakes there.
PB is more common there, but haruan and toman are spotted to sometimes.
7am-12pm sometimes we get like 1-2 catches only, sometimes go home empty with nothing.
Its free,.. so no complaints. seen other people brought home a 2kg patin with 11 rods of dedak.
PBs there average bout 30-40 cms

thats good effort, IF they spend the money to replenish the fish and clean up the lakes. I will support, but talapia and puyu? hmm,... most will go with dedak la.

BTW,... anyone tried fishing in Singapore or shop there? Is it cheaper to buy anything from Sg? Heading there for holiday next month.
Saw some interesting Temesis PB in their restricted dams in other forums.

rofl,.. luckily i wasnt there in Bvld hotel... else i sure syaitan u to buy that reel. Lol

Holy macaroni!! Vanquish online price nearly RM2k for the 4000 model. Hmm magnesium body, like one bro here told me.. only good for freshwater. but impressive specs.
For me,.. i think the highest and most expensive model I will end up will prbably be the Stella or the Daiwa Branzino. I am a sucker for Carbon stuffs.

Yeap. Got time find me yamcha at Safa. I regular there nearly every night with my fishing buddies. Haha. Oh the subang lake u guys go the smaller middle lake Issit? What u guys have tried to lure the pb's?
*
yup the middle pond, snag friendly. Not so much dead trees and trunks under water.
We usually use sub surface lure 3-7 cm.
My new fav is the Ofmer catwalk, caught 2 back to back with this without changing lures. I used this for top water walking.
PBs in subang lake seems to love yellow/orange minnows.

ehh jom la,.. i dont think MPPJ will kacau unless the forest friends there report. I wanna go boat fishing! weekends nearly booked up,.. this SAt i am free. else June 15th onwards.
Since a lot interested with KD, and we only have 2 boats,.. i think max 6 person on the 2 boats. Some can fish from the shore first then we bring walkie talkies. Those on shore jaga for MBPJ and keep the anglers on the boat inform. How??

After Jurassic,.. can we organise a trip to Gopeng? PB and haruan haven.

Added on May 22, 2012, 4:20 pmPeacock craze!! good reviews on lures that he uses for his PB hunting.
