Hi guys, im new here... started this sport recently and finding some spot for fishing somewhere in Klang Valley.  Any recommedation? 

braided 5lb? interesting! i was browsing through videos from my phone, then suddenly stumbled on a video i captured last time. my friend fighting 7kg patin on a 5lb rod. suddenly also wanna invest ultra light! when wanna go fishing daddy! faster organize!

what powerpro2.. use dynema sunline la or varivas... anything from 6lb-10lb + 8-15lb hard fluoro leader

Pls PM me if you guys happen to see the above brands or any hard fluoro leaders  anywhere in KL~

Anyways, have the 2012 rarenium ci4+ arrived in KL yet ? Have you guys seen this particular reel being sold in tackleshops at KL ? coz i really2 need to upgrade my ci4 stradics...

following the update, the new rareniums have made their opening debut in selected tackleshops in SG and im just wondering if they have arrived in malaysia yet...

While im here would like to ask opinion on a bait casting rod and reels....budget rm400-500 la...got lots of plastic lures but cant fully release its potential with a spinning rod...maybe my fishing skills sucks la....ahahaha

That Sherky brand,.. sounds familiar,. think thats the one that kepong sponsor rawang. its a good rod for 96 bucks la.
10 gram lure,.. can cast very far liao lor.... distance,.. nothing much to to with rod stiffness. Reel and line to be exact for getting the distance.
Get the Fenwick la,.. you wont regret it leh... I might end up getting it if i cant find my damn daiwa rod.
TCE sports dont bring in the 6'6" AARRGGHHH,.. need to buy from amazon.. got sale heheh

Ohh yah I forgot... did you manage to check out the tackle shops down south ?

I used a Uni knot to merge braid and fluoro  but the leader snapped at the lure man, nothing to do with the knot.  sigh.

I'm looking for anything around 10lb hard fluoro leader if you have  some... else, I have to go back to Mono.

what are you gonna mail me ? haha.. but I am already expecting  some gancraft jigs from Japan

JM tackle in Kepong, quite pricey i think its only 20m. Cant remember the price, but by meter per $ ,.. it wasnt cheap.
had to tear the price tag away,.. dun wan wife to nag

recently found another good floro leader in digital puchong. Cat recall if it was Varivas or YGK. very small light spool, impressive diameter and supple. limpy and soft too. Neek to check with Inv,. he nearly bought it but i had to stop him,.. cos i have plenty of lead to spare him.

i think if u dun go all gung ho on expensive equipments like Shimano Stella or Rarenium or .... then fishing is quite affordable. Just buy 1 set of reliable rod & reel which suits ur usual fishing needs then off u go.

The most u gonna spend is fishing trips like sea fishing which need to rent boat or need to travel far. Also tuition fees, recently i just snagged 2 clousers which cost me RM8 each due to submerged logs and branches under the water.

FG knot failure??? must be somewhere tied wrongly liao... the first part is actually the most important....need to make sure it "eats" into the mono/fluoro leader before u tie the second part
