Depends on your definations of normal. A lot of people here seems to worship the super amoled screen, but i find the color very un-natural. White looks bluish. It looks very colorful and bright but when put side by side with other phone( i won't mention which one) the color of amoled is way off.

Most people have success flashing over V2 without wipe.

The last time I heard about my SGS amoled being the best too, but somehow I don't think it is the best. It is no doubt very sharp. If only the color are more natural.

Flash to MUIU V3.1 this morning without wipe my data and its working good. My apps are intact and the 720p video is finally working good now.

Both are stable. Just that Darky will have better battery life because MUIU battery drain is still present.

Maybe there are a lot android users that really love the ipong but couldn't have it for some reasons and therefore make their SGS look like it! Can't really blame them. Even Samsung is trying to make the phones look like ipong.

I have my own reason why I like the iPong theme. Its because I have the iPad and having a similar looks and feel makes it a lot easier for me when using both devices without the need to adapt.

maybe you're having a fake card that is full of problems. there are a lot of fake cards out there that looks just like the real ones.

Its an irony that the most desirable things are usually the most not worth it. Its something SGS owner probably will never understand. Its not about the beauty of the product. Its not about what the product can do. Its about the feeling of owning one. The pride to have one.

Like I say, its something you will never understand. Why do you think it have a high second hand value? If it is not worth it why are people willing to part the cash to buy it from you?

Here is the scenario...
I work offshore and I always bring my Rm90 LG phone as an alarm because there is no line out here. But this trip, I decided to bring along my SGS so that I can listen to my mp3 and play some games. Everytime I bring out my phone, people would ask me...."Is that an iPhone?" or simply "iPhone?" No one ever ask me is that a "Samsung Galaxy?" or simply "Galaxy?" or "Andriod?"
Ever wonder why?

If you go an ask those school kids what phone the want to have, I can guarantee you that 9 out of 10 would say the iPhone. You won't hear much about Galaxy or android at all. Ever wonder why?

What apple did here is create a branding so strong that it has become a household name. You might disagree with me, but look around you and do a reality check. The SGS might be a better phone than the iphone, but in reality it means nothing to the majority of the users.

So before you say something like Iphone is definetely not of it, think again.

I was in Lowyat about 2 months ago so I went searching for a case for my SGS. They are so hard to find and not many choices available. But all I see is iphone case everywhere i look around. Why? Those shop owners must be stupid to stock so many iPhones case because the ipHones are so not worth it.

What is the best kernel to run with Galnet MUIU V3.3? I am using the kernel that comes with it, but if there is a better kernel, I wnat to try it out. I herad NEO10 is pretty good.

You can try Dark Core kernel, but i think no matter what kernel you try they will all be similar speed. Welcome to the SGS world where lag is part of it.

Are you sure? Absolutely no lag? I find it hard to believe. I have try many roms and all have some lag here and there.

I am just being realistic about it. If anyone can really confirm that there is no lag in the rom that they use without OC, then I wanna know and I believe most of the SGS owners here would wanna use it too. In the end there is still some lag here and there and that doesn't render the phone useless. Its just minor inconvenience. But facts remain facts and I won't lie about it.

After you install talon, some apps won't work. You need to uninstall the app and reinstall it back tthen it will work.

I am using Galnet MIUI V4 and I cannot sign into Google Market and GMail apps.

I am using wifi as I do not have any data plan. Do I need data plan to access Market?

What I see is a message "Your phone needs to communicate with Google servers to set up your account. This may take up to 5 minutes"

Then after a while, I get this...

"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server"

I have checked my Wifi connection and its all good. I can check my gmail via web browser and can surf the web too. Just cannot go to market as it required sign in and sign it always fail. I use my PC to access market and can sign in.
