QUOTE(CrossX @ Jul 4 2011, 09:50 AM) someone from XDA asked the same question, the answer is Yes but they also said u must flash a modem with 850 band support Don't need to flash language pack. Just go to languages and change it to englishNot sure if the modems from I9000 would work with yours but i think the roms should at least work the same. Added on July 4, 2011, 9:58 amAnybody using MIUI rom from www.miuiandroid.com? When it first boots without flashing the language pack, there's an app named "网盘“ i think it acts sort of like a market but instead, users share their apps... after flashing language pack it will be removed... |

don't think too many apps on your phone will cause any lag unless you run out of storage space.
too many RUNNING apps on your phone though will probably lag your phone. or services such as Skype or updaters |

QUOTE(fishtail @ Jul 7 2011, 03:19 PM) if i flash the xxjvq modem to my xxjvp by using doin. For flashing any modem, the procedure is the same. The easiest way is to flash via CWM, which has already been explained a few posts up.did i need to put the pit file or repartiton? thanks if you want to flash via odin, 1. Put the pit512 file into the pit slot. 2. Put the modem file into the modem slot. 3. Switch your phone to downloading mode (volume down+home+power) 4. Connect phone to computer 5. Press start |

QUOTE(ic3joker @ Jul 12 2011, 04:51 PM) just got rainX and applied on my phone. will report back the result. now so far so good. just the smell really Sounds interesting. I use my phone without a screen protector because I can't stand the colour degradation lol. However, the screen does attract alot of fingerprints and dust now. Also, the screen isn't as smooth to slide my fingers compared to when i was using a matte screen protector. Do keep us updated yea |

ic3joker,
So did you try the applying RainX on your phone screen after all? How was it in terms of smoothness and fingerprint resistiveness. Good screen protector replacement? Thanks |

so it doesnt spoil the screen right? colors all still ok?
I think i'll go get one and try, haha. Tesco should sell, or any hardware store like ace hardware. The main thing for me is the smoothness, cause once i took off the screen protector, the difference in smootheness is so obvious. I can't stand the color with the screen protector on though, its horrible |

Ok, just bought rainx from a petrol station near my house lol.
Applied it to my screen. First impressions are, the screen is really really fingerprint resistant. No fingerprints no matter how much i rub the screen with my fingers. It isn't as smooth as with a matte screen protector though, although there is a slight improvement in smoothness. Oh well, much better than a screen protector for me |

Flashed gingerbread bootloaders over my CM7 last night, after reading that many people get improved standby battery life using the GB bootloaders.
And from what I've seen so far, that is very true. i still have 55% of battery left after 15 hours of use, in which 8 hours were idle standby (sleeping) and the rest were moderate usage ( few phhone calls, a few games, sms and light browsing). Will report back after a few days on how it goes. From what i can see so far, it improves the STANDBY battery drain but not the battery drain when IN USE. Apparently you lose access to your external sd card though, but i dont use one, so cant test. keep in mind that flashing GB bootloaders over CM7 IS AT YOUR OWN RISK |
