QUOTE(mstr583 @ Jul 1 2011, 10:30 AM) feedback from CrossX on the gps....QUOTE(CrossX @ Jul 1 2011, 09:37 AM) 2nd day using JVQ, on CF root kernel without lagfix smooth with some small little lags (insignificant) but i didnt see any improvements on the signals, quite similar to JVP for me... tested the GPS, 1st lock took around 30secs without data, 2nd lock around 10secs... Maybe i'm too used to MIUI, haha kinda bored looking at touchwiz |

yeap, i also noticed that JVP gives better battery life over JVO when i migrate over..
does this means each newer firmware optimizes the battery life better?? |

QUOTE(lightning69 @ Jul 2 2011, 05:49 PM) Depends on your definations of normal. A lot of people here seems to worship the super amoled screen, but i find the color very un-natural. White looks bluish. It looks very colorful and bright but when put side by side with other phone( i won't mention which one) the color of amoled is way off. i agree with you...our SuperAMOLED tends to be warmer than others. last time we compared before: SGS vs iPhone4 vs Incredible S vs X10... guess who's the best?? |

QUOTE(lightning69 @ Jul 2 2011, 06:12 PM) Most people have success flashing over V2 without wipe. for dpi... for sure iPhone4 beats all.Added on July 2, 2011, 6:14 pm Better not mention it. In here there is only one winner. The most natural display i see among the 4 was iPhone4, followed by Incredible S. X10 tends to be brighter.. and our SGS is very warm in colour... this is the pic we used to compare... btw, its the correct resolution for our SGS.. it was my wallie last time~ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(gmhafiz @ Jul 2 2011, 06:24 PM) Nova screen is the brightest with 700nits compared to 400 for our sgs. It is true that sgs with stock firmware has inaccurate colour reproduction. However, it can be fixed with voodoo colour driver. no doubt AMOLED produce very high contrast and brightness. It is unfortunate that amoled screen production is only owned by samsung. other company (like a fruit one) would love to get their hands with it. Last I hear, super amoled + screen is the best display out there. is there any apps that can tune the screen colour reproduction other than the above mentioned voodoo colour driver?? thanks!! |
