just switched to xxjvq modem, and noticed a remarkable improvement on battery life.

I used to lose about 20 to 30% when sleeping. now I only lose 8% or so. will keep u guys updated after more testing

1. copy the zip file into you sdcard
2. go into recovery
3. choose" intall zipfile from sdcard" > choose zipfile from sd card> find the zipfile> flash!
4. reboot and done!

what kernel are you on now? cf-root? if not on any custom kernel you can't change to ext4. so flash a custom kernel first.

use terminal emulator type "uname -a" then press enter

EDIT: are you on stock rom? flash any custom rom before? i think you are on stock kernel. normally if you flashed custom kernel you will see their kernel name in "kernel version". for example, "2.6.35.7 Glitch-V10C-VC-i9000 tk@Glitch #1"

stock kernel i guess. install a kernel which base on xxjvp.

guys, should i switch to MIUI/CM7? My current ROM Simply Honey 3.9 still have occasional lags and battery prob, even on ext4, it still doesn't provide me the smooth operation. battery life is equally important to me, my data and sync is 24/7 ON with 3G, used to have a good battery life with 2.3.3, but the moment i upgrade to 2.3.4, my Android OS % shoot up to 20%.. used to be 7-9% previously. now on average use, could last me only 5-6 hours(moderate usage), 12-14hours(minimal usage,phone on sleep mode 70% of the time). Any suggestions? 

ginger real for me so far so good, 24 hours and on 70% battery with moderate usage(just game for a few mins, check email and facebook/twitter/sms)( is it considered good?)
tried with cf kernel, semaphore kernel but galaxian is best IMO.

if galaxian kernel installed with stock rom JVQ..

I'm using miui but cant sent MMS without turning on the packet data.
I've followed the apn setting at first page and add another apn for 2G.
both 2G & 3G cannot sent MMS   

I am using celcom and I don't have a data package. Even without data package, the phone should display 3G or H on the signal bar.  But Galnet MIUI don't seem to show that at all on my phone.
