u're still no sleeping or just woke up then rush to pc already? lol. good morning! in egypt its past 1.17 a.m already. hehe, right now i'm already with H&F Rom ( have GS2 look and much more stable compare to F1 rom) and i'm using speedmod right now. well, how good exactly galaxian? are u on rfs or ext4? no other probs like BT or Wifi or BSOD? (black screen of death.)
*
I wake up early tat day laugh.gif I'm on Galaxian with RFS. had black screen of death sometimes, which I NEVER encounter on Speedmod throughout my life on Gingerbread. besides this, there's a black line flickering on the bottom of the screen. no other problems for me. gonna flash the latest GalaxianGT-V1 and see if it fixes the prob smile.gif

QUOTE(emino @ Aug 1 2011, 08:55 AM)
Finally flashed to 2.3.4 due to some problems I had, so since I'm going to flash anyway, why not for once not using the official malaysian firmware? laugh.gif
*
coz there's no 2.3.4 for Msia tongue.gif and I have the so called Android OS bug on 2.3.3.

QUOTE(janov @ Aug 1 2011, 11:10 AM)
anyone here tried the new JVR ROM yet? is the file downloaded from link in samfirmware legit? its weird they still dont have 2.3.4 for Asia
*
yeah it is. u can dl from there.. 2.3.4 is only a leaked firware, not official yet. for Msia, we'll have to wait ard a month after 2.3.4 is released OFFICIALLY I guess. by tat time maybe some new firmwares will be out again for Europe, tat's y I nvr use Msia. lol laugh.gif

Thanks for the link, Ken, still not many people give feedback there maybe cos the rom is still new but those that feedback mentioned that the rom has very fast response better than previous version but i think i'll wait for a week before flashing, the last time they released JVP which i flashed, 1 week later they released JVQ!!! maybe next week got JVS.....haha
*
Yeah, waiting for feedbacks too. I'm getting JVR once it's deodexed by Ramad and proves to be ok (eg. without the deodexed browser bug in JVQ)

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Aug 1 2011, 03:00 PM)
someone mentioned there is this "phone FC bug"....is it serious? happens to all or just some users?

anyone tried this JVR?
*
some I think.. never had tat bug since I moved to JVP smile.gif

I've been flashing kernels quite abit nowadays, going from Speedmod to Galaxian and now I'm at Talon 0.4.3 laugh.gif
Galaxian seems fast but it can't hold up to multitasks, I have no idea why. Lets hope Talon is better.
*
Yeah, I thought too.. Talon ain't better for me. Most stable among d 3 for me would be Speedmod. 0 issues with it.

QUOTE(kfc @ Aug 2 2011, 12:22 AM)
I have tried to flash between speedmod and galaxian in xxjvp.
but finally I realized that my phone work without speedmod or galaxian kernel at all.
it runs silky smooth and I can play N64 games smoothly.
speedmod gave me some FC and random restart during heavy load, Galaxian made it worse.

As long as it function the way it should, I'm satisfy now lah.
*
never had FC Restart on Speedmod, but reqularly on Galaxian though it's,faster

Yep, agree with u. Zero issues with speedmod, with galaxian sometimes the wifi turn on and off by itself. i'm thinking to try JVR, but some debates that its got some modified files from JVQ and one thing i found kinda weird, how come the darkyy rom crew can be associated with samfirmware??
*
like they said in XDA, don flash the current JVR, u might turn ur phone into a Transformer tongue.gif

i think some ppl or i should say most ppl in xda is unhappy that the new leaked JVR had something to do with darky (http://www.samfirmware.com/apps/blog/show/7901789-android-weekend-special-) thats the reason so few have actually tried flashing to JVR, as for me, i'll wait for about a week before i flash anything from samfirmware, hate it when i flash and then they release another leaked version. anyone here who have flashed to JVR, appreciate your feedback on performance.
*

[/quote]
coz they found out something fishy with the files of JVR. even Ramad thought so and wouldn't deodexed it since it's an incomplete version

*
sad sad.gif like alvinz said, if it's from a trustable source then it's ok. don use one which is related to $$ (eg. ur account, banking things etc)
