So, I have a maxis postpaid line. Can I use the data plan from YES 4g and keep my maxis line? Probably using the starter plan from YTL (http://www.yes.my/v2/say-yes/go-yesid-starterpacks.do) I plan to use this for my phone's internet connection only.

Also, this YES plan is prepaid right? meaning i will need to buy a reload every month?

Well the thing is, i want to use YES for my data connection only, not including calls and sms. I don't really want to get a data plan from maxis so I was thinking of using the data plan from YES.

It's depend on you. You can calculate the cost based on your usage.
How you want to use internet? at home, travel, using phone, computer... you must consider this first before make any decision.

You CANNOT use YES data connection on your phone.
Unless you get a YES HUNDLE (like router) so you can connect YES wireless in the YES HUNDLE area.

YES does not have SIM card.

So the answer for you is obviously : NO!

data connection is possible if u purchased Huddle or Zoom... connection via wifi....

Depends on what ISP u wan to compare with, if you want to compare with streamyx of coz YES will be much expansive, it charge 3cents/9mb or RM68/3.5GB

Its possible - but you'll have to buy the huddle (their wireless pocket router) for you to make use of their data plan. in other words , your phone connects via wifi to this huddle (or pocket internet wifi thingy) for you to use yes 4g data plan. But that defeats the purpose , if you want true mobility , currently the way to go is to get data plan from your provider itself.
