so i need a new single din player now, with USB connection, bluetooth is optional but if possible i hope can get within budget as well

if can i would like to add an amp and chg the speakers as well.no need to be too high end or expensive, just sumthg at the beginner level and bang for bucks

I guess with the budget range of yours, its kinda difficult to get one who set. Unless USB connection is being set aside. If not, the HU itself should be costing approx. RM4xx and above with brands like SONY, PIONEER, KENWOOD, ALPINE .. and etc. smile.gif

all that for budget around RM500? I think it's quite impossible.
Cause the HU with USB function alone already cost a few hundred.

A trustable seller that won't let you down. Installations you can do in acc shops for rm15-30. But make sure they do a proper speaker connections, else will become like below :

@kyheng - finally settle with my ICE setup already. Yes,indeed they admit that the connection of the rear speaker is wrong causing polarity issue with it. In the end, I change the entire speaker system for the rear and the side door ones with crossfader and tweeter. smile.gif

As for tweeters, can refer to below : only selling for rm147(including Poslaju, COD rm140)...

COD with Kyheng on last Friday night. i got a pair of Visaton tweeter from him and replace my rm400++ component set's tweeter using back the passive crossover. With this 1/2" small tweeter, i have a great improvement on hi-range, very clear, clean and crispy sound now. On pair with my younger brother's MBQuart, i think will be better after run-in.

Bro, thanks for your recommendation and i saved the money for buying new component set, change head unit and adding amplifier for pumping the speakers.

So total for a budget sound system, rm500(HU) + rm15-30(installations) + rm147(tweeter) = rm677 max....

Don't worry about water set or not(indeed yes for that price, original will be much expensive), the 1 year warranty will be covered by him. Even if the warranty over, you also no need to worry, you can send back directly to Pioneer SC and they will still repair it for you, just like how they treat normal Pioneer HU....
And it will last longer if you don't connect to amp(s). Pioneer HU models for recent few years are very easy to have its pico fuse blow..

tweeter wont cost much... but the other thing is the xover... cost a wee bit if you go for one capacitor for hpf which is the simplest... or starting 3 figures for a good basic hpf, lpf passives which is for your mids and tweets...

anyway... i too think that you should decide on your HU first.... biggrin.gif
