F8 is the killer in F papers, P2 is the killer in P papers. Put in more effort next round, don't be too greedy (divert attention) then can pass

The ACCA is improving its exam results service and the results for the December 2011 exams will be available earlier than usual.

Official exam result notifications will be sent by email in the week commencing 13 February 2012. You will also be able to print a copy of your exam results after they have been released, via MyACCA.

If you have chosen to receive paper copies of your exam results, then these will be mailed in the week commencing 20 February 2012.

That's nice.At least we are getting it earlier which is good news.

so is it worth for me to take OBU?
Of course you take.Cost wise, where can you get a degree for a little more than rm3000?Practical wise you get a degree+acca later on when you finish.2 is better than 1.
Just do it,trust me.I'm doing OBU this round too.

you may consider asking your lecturer to mark your answer sheets, let him/her tell you your weakness and improve on that

P7 is quite easy, imagine someone who does not know/quote ISA in exam also can pass. the key term is time management. my time management was not that good when i chose Q3 instead of Q4 in Dec 11 sitting. I had to read 3 parts of scenarios (time wasting) instead of Q4 just 1 scenario.

Will try to keep that in mind. The quite easy statement will irk people that failed.Better dont use tongue.gif

Hi everyone. I just got my p1 failed.
Just wanted some opinions in choosing between (p1, p2, and p3) or (p1, p6, and p7)

* i had passed my F6 and F8 and i think i do have the knowledge from both papers. And since im graduated from degree which with no ideas at all in those F papers except F6 and F8. So i think choosing P6 and P7 give lil bit advantage for me at least.

So, which sounds better for P1 to be squeezing into. (enrolled P2 and P3 this semester)

Thanks
*
I think it is better to concentrate on finishing off p1,p2 and p3 first. The optional papers leave it for next round.p6 and p7 got different focus from f6 and f8 so advantage wise is minimal.

The passing rates for the optional papers sure look very depressing.I'm surprised people say the 'easier' paper p5 only 29% passing rate.

have you read the p5 questions for dec 2011?

do u think it's hard?

performance pyramid...ratio analysis and performance /reward evaluation

and risks and uncertainty

p/s: i thought it's ok..not difficult at all ..but my mark was way below my expectation

the same goes to my p7... doable...but i failed..
*
Guess we would be on the same boat this round for p7.dont feel like reading p5 biggrin.gif

hahaha, are you referring to me?

as txsean said, the questions for P5 were quite predictable since there are not much models to test you. the issue is how you tackle the question, if you prefer calculation rather than theory then of course not likely that you can do so in final papers
*
Used to prefer calculation but acca changed me to prefer theory.Too bad p4 still got quite a lot of calculation smile.gif

As far as i know you must take the previous papers you haven't pass with the later papers if you want.In other words if you still got p2 and p7 left you must take both or only p2.
